dontlook2 Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 (edited) I am going to be releasing species packs for this community using stable diffusion, with LV in mind, while also keeping it tasteful. I want to ask everyone though, would you all prefer they all be like vanilla portraits, or have more variety with the pose? Edit: In case there's confusion, these will not be replacer portraits, they will be a new "species". Edited June 13, 2023 by dontlook2
soldier847 Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 The reality is, the Diplomatic, as well as population and species interaction screens are tailered for the upper body view. Most fully body views look off, not bad, just off, and while I for one would welcome any new portrait packs, Stellaris itself is designed with the upper body view in mind. 1
dontlook2 Posted June 10, 2023 Author Posted June 10, 2023 True, I wasn't talking about full body, just more variety in pose instead of just the same pose for every portrait.

Screws Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 @dontlook2 I gotta ask, are you planning to do all species, multiple races and what not or do you plan to just do like regular humans or something? .3.

I'm not replacing vanilla portraits, if that's what you're asking. Perhaps I should have made it more clear in the topic post. There will be regular humans, following specific themes. Ones you would use for a specific playthrough based on the government type and all that. I do plan on doing other humanoid species also; elves, orcs, etc.

Avoiding furry races then? lol Well either way, I'd like to make the suggestion of some vikings. Like a solid set of em. Everything from the hyper masculine ones to more reasonable ones, male and female :3

Everything from the hyper masculine ones to more reasonable ones, male and female :3 Depends, I will certainly cater to my personal preferences, but as long as it's something I don't strongly dislike I could consider doing it. For example one thing I was thinking of doing was a draconian humanoid race, with like half human skin and half scales. I haven't tested to see how well it'll work yet though. Vikings is something I would do.
dontlook2 Posted July 7, 2023 Author Posted July 7, 2023 A bit of an update on this: Took me a while to get stable diffusion to really work with me trying to get the exact pose I wanted. It's not 100% stellaris style, I couldn't get it to work without the anatomy looking off when trying to pose from upperbody. I could using a full body image, but it would require too much upscaling to fix the faces and details and would just be too taxing. The first set I am releasing is going to be a personal taste of mine. It's going to cater to a spiritual/militaristic type of empire run by a nunnate order, or at least that's what the prescripted empire is planned to be. So most, if not all portraits will be big tiddy nuns essentially. Afterward I will start doing other sets which will have both male and female portraits. These would be more universal, and some might also cater to specific government types. Then in no particular order, I will be doing humanoid races such as elves, draconians (as mentioned previously) and whatever else I come up with. attached are samples of what to expect. obv not downsized yet. 4
Wolf470 Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Just found this topic - (restarted stellaris after switching to a new comp) and this is very interesting... might think about having 1-10% of the pops and/or leader females being groped by one or two (or more) males - of course reverse it for male pops and leaders. After all even the tightest wound society will have to grow...
