Zor2k13 Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I hate the default iron and banded iron armors they look like a rush job and don't even react the same way as other objects in the game. The nif files don't even call for fancy textures just the main and normal maps not even a _m map. Looks like crap compared to the iron weapons too. I have been browsing for most of the day looking for replacements and the only thing I could find that might work is the dragon age 2 hawke armors both mage armor (light armor) and the champion armor (heavy or banded replacer) but those armors don't work right or look right and some don't have female support. They also don't have gnd models or helmets. Yes, I have heard of amidanborn at the nexus but his stuff is too dark brown doesn't even look like iron. I am trying to mod the defaults myself but I have this weird creative block that just kills all motivations as soon as I try to get into it. I know it is not just being lazy because I am working on some other mods it just only happens when I try to mod iron for some reason. Anyway, what do you ppl use for iron replacers if any?
TnTTnT Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Sorry I don't use any replecer for Iron armor since it's very basic one. Normally just in short time you will be able to get Steel armor so why bother. However, I use skimpy replacer pack.
Zor2k13 Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 Thanks for the reply, yes it is true that after a short time you get something better but no matter what you do you will still see the armor through the whole game because bandits wear it and there are a lot of bandits.
