Every NPC has the same hideous problem

I was trying to learn with Bodyslide used Batch Build etc. I also downloaded few mods. Then I started new game to see how the game works. Everything worked fine, I got into Race menu and I used my favorite preset (didnt have any problem before) and I started playing with Race menu (wanted bigger breasts for my character). I did the tutorial and got into The Helgen Keep, let Hadvar cut my wrist ties and checked the look of my character. It was ABSOULETY hideous. So i thought that i will quit the game and start new with the same preset but i wont change anything about the breasts. Again I got into Race menu, set my preset, did tutorial and at Helgen Keep after Hadvar cut my wrist ties, I checked and they were same as before (hideous). But that wasn't the worst thing. EVERY SINGLE female npc had the same hideous breasts. Tried setting different Batch Builds, using different presets. Nothing worked.

Any suggestions how to fix it ?

(sorry for bad english)

Looks are subjective, hideous sounds like everything was working, it was just not to your taste. A screenshot might help.

But, since it seems the final result was not the expected result one could make some guesses: I go first, my guess is you built an incompatible body and now either the skeleton or the physics engine(s) you have installed are bending things out of shape.

You are right, it is subjective and it isn't my taste. Here is the screenshot (physics are working)

Yeah so like I said, skeleton and/or physics. Even the texture is incompatible. That's a UNP texture on CBBE or the other way around. Need to read mod descriptions and requirements. Not every mod is magically going to work with everything else.

Everything worked (even the presets) before i played with Race menu, now nothing works. Should I reinstall cbbe 3ba bhunp etc. Or what do you suggest ?

My suggestion would be for you to start by deciding which body type you're going to use, then normalize your mods to that body.

This is not a valid setup, unless you know what you're doing.

Depending on what you've installed, you may be able to find something in BodySlide if you look in the bottom left corner of it. It will show a list of outfits there that override the currently selected outfit. If you select the body mesh (outfit) you built, perhaps you can find the one you used to have in that list. My guess would be you'd want to build one that is UNP based.

I hoped that this problem would be just some missing file or something. But it looks like to be worse. I will try to change some things in BodySlide, do some magic tricks, pray to Jesus and hopefully it will work.

1) you appear to have chosen a BHUNP body and wrapped it with a CBBE-family texture. those hip seams and the weird breasts are a dead giveaway.

CBBE family  and UNP family assets are natively *incompatible*

If you use a CBBE family body (from CBBE on up to "3BA v3" (or 4 if its progressed that far idk), you must use CBBE family textures. Same goes for the UNP family.

2) When you use Racemenu, be aware that there are a multitude of "presets", only some of which are compatible in body...and then we get into heads

There are vanilla head assets, ECE head assets, and high poly head assets.

3) You must be careful when choosing racemenu presets, since these fundamentals are often carried with them. Applying a topography/geomtery must conform to what you use or strange things can and will almost assuredly happen.

---

So... how do you get back to eden? To be honest, I'm not sure. for me, it was a matter of finding presets that actually matched my basics, then tweaking the result to bring my face back to a semblance of normality.  (not my avatar, that's my male who's been on vacation in limbo land for a while)

4) Be very careful that any Bodyslide preset used matches you chosen body type. Not all the presets player's often end up with are actually compatible. I have CBBE preset, CBBE-3BBB presets, CBBE-3BA presets (both v2 and v3), UNP presets, UUNP presets, AND BHUNP v1 presets (the last used for my BHUNP followers I have both CBBE-3BB and BHUNP v1 installed,

5) to solve the texture issue, determine your body type (CBBE? CBBE-3BA? BHUNP? etc) and install compatible textures. that should overwrite the ones being used at present.

As for all the rest, I already gave an overview. You have a bit of work ahead.

Alright, I tried few things and I think i found the problem. That mutated texture is somehow texture of every single BHUNP, any other (CBBE or 3BA) textures are alright.

Maybe i should set every NPC to CBBE. And yes the presets are UNP and the things that (i think) i was changing were for CBBE. Trying to fix it somehow.

And another question, how am I supposed to use preset that has like 1kb (It's .xml not .jslot, plus the 1 kb presets don't appear in race menu only in BodySlide) ?

Ok, I fixed the looks of my character and other woman NPC's, but it does't have any physics. (Now I found out that clothes do have physics, but when I am naked there are no) physics

And Nemesis shows me this

Did you build the naked female body using a 3BBB/3BA preset and body in Bodyslide?

for 3BA/3BBB  it should be something like

Outfit/Body: something-something Body Amazing (mine is SE ygNord 3BBB Body Amazing, but I'm using the original cbbe-3bbb body, and  most will be using a newer title, corresponding to the newer variants)

Preset: Any corresponding preset. Ex: you chose CBBE-3BA, then you want a CBBE-3BA compliant preset., or you chose BHUNP. Then you want a BHUNP compliant preset

example: (the preset below is CBBE-3BBB compliant. They sometimes do not say whether they are or not, so you have to be careful)

bodyslide_selections.jpg.4fc47c3da8dc84f806002d556d8a0b51.jpg

again, I'm using older resources, so I'm not sure what the current names are, and exactly which you should pick for your installations but they should be similar.

if you haven't built the naked body, make sure to do so, and to check the "build Morphs checkbox to provide Racemenu support, and afaik newer versions of Bodyslide also have some sort of lockout checkbox that has to be addressed for changes to go through. I'm on an older version that doesn't have that so I'm not sure how it works. I just know there is something extra needs done.

Also, build the hands and feet, using the same preset used for the body, and make sure to use the feet and hand selections corresponding to whichever Body/outfit you use. I prefer to address these three individually, rather than by batch.

Finally, make sure that IFF you chose to put files on some drive other than the Skyrim default path (off the root drive in program files x86), you'll need to address pathing in Bodyslide setup.

Afaik, the Bodyslide and Outfit Studio mod page provides specific instruction on that issue.

one last thing. I'd recommend that if you're doing this build stuff, save the preset used as a custom preset and  name it according the the player name so you are able to easily refer it later for fitting clothing and armor and other incidental wearable that need bodyslide builds
