Asakaze Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Do you use an external mod organizer or the one in skyrim launcher?
Spyder Arachnid Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Well, from the sound of it, you are using the regular Skyrim Launcher to check all your data files, instead of something like Nexus Mod Manager or Mod Organizer. And I've never heard of Steam ever doing that in the first place, so no idea what could be causing that. Secondly, Skyrim is only available on Steam, there is no non-Steam version.
Ark of Truth Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Steam doesn't block adult mods. I know this as like Spyder said Skyrim for PC is a Steam only product. Your most likely not reading instructions properly. Next time please don't leave such a massive space on the opening post considering it serves no purpose.
winny257 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 if you think Steam caused your problem, why do not you just play in offline mode? then Steam does not have access to your game and you'll see that Steam is not responsible! german \ deutsch ! wenn du glaubst Steam verursacht dein problem , warum spielst du dann nicht einfach im offline modus ? dann hat Steam keinen zugriff auf dein spiel und du wirst sehen das Steam nicht verantwortlich ist !
dragenx Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Steam is blocking all Loverlab Adult mods from working I did test is offline it still getting blocked long as your game is running in Steam Dir it will be blocked dose not matter if it is online or not
srayesmanll Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Steam is blocking all Loverlab Adult mods from working I did test is offline it still getting blocked long as your game is running in Steam Dir it will be blocked dose not matter if it is online or not Steam in NOT blocking any lovers lab mod from working. I am using various sexlab mods currently with absolutely no issues. 1 quick question - are you launching the game through steam or the the normal Skyrim launcher? If so, that means that you are not launching through SKSE, which means that mods that require SKSE (such as SexLab) will not work.
Spyder Arachnid Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Steam is blocking all Loverlab Adult mods from working I did test is offline it still getting blocked long as your game is running in Steam Dir it will be blocked dose not matter if it is online or not No, no it's not. Steam has nothing to do with LoversLab mods not working. It does not specifically block certain mods. Everyone that owns Skyrim has Skyrim installed in the Steam directory and they are using LoversLab mods just fine. Your issue has nothing to do with Steam. It is something else causing your mods not to work.
winny257 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 maybe it is because some users use a pirated copy!I must say that a lot of mods only work with an original version. german \ deutsch ! vielleicht liegt es auch daran dass einige nutzer eine raubkopie verwenden !dann muß ich sagen , daß sehr viele mods nur mit einer original version funktionieren .

I must say that a lot of mods only work with an original version. german \ deutsch ! vielleicht liegt es auch daran dass einige nutzer eine raubkopie verwenden ! dann muß ich sagen , daß sehr viele mods nur mit einer original version funktionieren . no I am not using a pirated copy but like it all work fine the amine and all for a few days then it just stop working which I have not added no new mods so I just buy a new copy hope that will work, but I when in the steamer cookies and find a cookie then that show up after sexlab mod is put in and that file is SEQ file from sexlab framework I think but not sure but with find out for sure . now I have d The Elder Scrolls anthology which also use steam before I have legendary edition not a copy so let see who is right here
SandsOfTime404 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 I'm not sure what's causing you issues, but I'm convinced it's not Steam-related. Clearly I'm not the only one who thinks you're wrong either. I am also running the SL Framework and several SL mods and they're working perfectly as of ~5 minutes ago. I can't even imagine how or why Valve would incorporate something into the Steam client to detect and blacklist known "adult" mods. Modding is such a large part of the Elder Scrolls games that it would not only be stupid to blacklist certain mods from being added on the user end, but virtually impossible as well. Dozens of new mods are created by players every day. Tracking down and blacklisting certain mods just doesn't even seem feasible to me. I can understand terms and conditions preventing certain mods from being uploaded to the Steam Workshop, but to the full extent of my knowledge you'll find no SL mods in the Steam Workshop, so that's essentially a moot point. If you want your issue resolved, you're going to have to prove why you think it's something to do with Steam, or accept that you may be mistaken and try approaching the problem from a different angle.
Lodakai Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Are you launching your game with SKSE? Or the official patcher? Steam is not blocking any content... but a good portion of interesting content HAS to be launched through SKSE. Edit: woops Srayesman already mentioned this. So.. consider the motion seconded =p

Lodakai Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 A step by step guide was written by Ark of Truth to explain the procedure. Here is the link http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19343-guidewip-how-to-install-fnis-sexlab-and-sexlab-mods/ ENGLISH: This video explains How to launch from SKSE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTGnQIiNVqA From time frame 11:50 is the key information on how to launch GERMAN / DEUTCH: Erläuterung der Start Ihrer Skyrim Spiel mit SKSE deutschen Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_xL6C9D1jw NMM is nexus mod manager available on nexus. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/modmanager//? ** (See Subnote Edit) EDIT: ** Subnote: My personal recommendation is to use Mod Organizer instead of Nexus Mod Manager. It is a little more complex, but it will give you more control over your modifications. If you want something a little easier to use, Wrye Bash is also a better alternative. If you feel they are both too complicated, then you can stick to Nexus Mod Manager. For all other tools end explanations you can follow this guide until section "1F" Section "1E" explains some of the core modification tools you will need. http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.7 Note: Make sure you have updated your skyrim to the latest version on steam for your mods to work. ENGLISH: Of utmost importance. You can not activate sexlab modification without the use of SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender). It is not possible. DEUTCH / Beer : Von größter Bedeutung. Sie können nicht aktivieren sexlab Modifikation ohne den Einsatz von SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender). Es ist nicht möglich. -- EDIT: I did misunderstand one point in Winny's Translation. Winny is correct that you do not need any of this if you use a mod from loverslab that does not rely on the sexlab framework. Adult mods can work without any of these, and steam will still not block them. But you will need to understand how to install them into your skyrim load order outside of the skyrim launcher tool. The data files have to be enabled. Nexus mod manager, wrye bash, and mod organize are tools to make this a little easier. Otherwise you MUST click "DATA FILES", as well as Organize your mods properly.. manually. This is very difficult to do. Sorry for my misunderstanding Winny.
