I would like some advice

I'm still recovering from some shit, so please bear with me.

I'm about to erase my load order for SSE, as in completely delete everything and start over to cleanse the game of out of date mods and whatever else, and I wanted to try Sexlab SE one last time. To avoid issues, I would like some advice on the mod and mods for it, like dos and don'ts, so to speak. I know all about making sure I'm using the correct versions of the mods and their dependencies and watching for conflictions, but is there anything else I should know? Like how to avoid CTDs, bugs, broken animations, etc. Any advice will help me and any other folks who want to avoid issues. Please remember that I am requesting help for SE only.

Like how to avoid CTDs, bugs,

you can't avoid those things, you have to recognize the cause of them and fix it. It's not magic, make yourself familiar with tools like SSEdit and your mod manager of choice. That's pretty much it.

It's not magic, just simply reading mod pages and guide instructions, failing a couple of times and learn to fix those things either by asking and giving important information about your problem or by trying yourself, googling your problem and do a bit of research. Also knowing that there are SE mods out now that only work with the newest version we call AE and the other way around, mods that only work with the original SE.

With listing what you already know, you already know most of it. And don't be greedy and only add small number of mods at a time, then startup the game and see how it  behaves.

So, basically, it's a case of trial and error?

With pre information of Guides and Descriptions yes. But most problems you will facing are already solved or discused so you will be able to find many answers on the internet already. That's how I got it to work and found most solutions to my problems. For everything else, there are still people here willing to help if you ask

Yeah, I haven't had the best of luck with that. You're the second person to help me with this who wasn't an asshole. The other people who offered me "advice" simply gave me shit just for asking. I'm not going to go into that because I really don't want to go to bed angry. I've already been up too late as it is.

A case of getting experience. You have to mod in order to mod. There is no way around it.

Also this:

Those are inevitable by the sheer nature of Skyrim. Even totally vanilla, unmodded installation is not the most stable or bug-free piece of software. Thank whatever gods you worship you did not have to experience a 1.0 console release back in 2011. Especially PS3 version.
