Celedhring Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 The title says it all. Gameplay is fine until around my character reaches level 7-10 then I see sex animations taking longer to fire up and switching to MCM for mods. Sometimes the mod list stays blank in the MCM. After a while the mods show up and I can click on a mod or two to change things. How can I fix that issue and what might be causing that?
Jack-O-Clock Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Code is Greek to me, and I'm American so you know I can't read anything besides English. Take this with a grain of salt. I find this sort of thing tends to happen when a lot of scripts are running in my game. If you have anything that tracks NPCs such as Fertility Mode or Sexlab Aroused, it will take longer and longer to run those updates as you go along as the list it has to update gets longer. Best to set them to unique NPCs only so the scripts don't have to run as long when they update. There are also mods that are constantly checking all the NPCs in your cell to see if it should run an event, such as such as SexLab Adventures. Consider tweaking the options on some of your mods to not run as often. Other than that, perhaps pair down your list to remove any script-intensive mods you don't really use.

It looks through all of your spells, which naturally gets longer the more you play. Turn off HH checking and see if that fixes it. 12 minutes ago, Celedhring said: Sometimes the mod list stays blank in the MCM. If you haven't done it yet, run the save through Fallrim tools and see if there are unattached scripts running.

If you watch the console, you'll see the spells scrolling by. It is a common cause of lagging pre-scene start, but the MCM issues you're having leans more towards overwhelming script lag. Still, it is worth a shot. Edited April 28, 2023 by Seijin8
traison Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Papyrus log may reveal something. Otherwise, there's a papyrus performance measuring utility on the nexus. Not tried it myself but it looks like it's serious.

Removing it returned the game to around 67/68 ms script lag compared to 3000-5000ish before.
