Diamond Grey Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 I never understood how to overwrite another mod. Does not overwriting another mod cause crashes? Example The Bishop mod and JK's Skyrim. Could anyone show me how to overwrite a mod?
Grey Cloud Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 Overwriting just means that one mod loads after another mod and wins the 'fight'. Nothing is actually changed in a file. I don't know what the Bishop mod is but if, say, it changes Whiterun roofs to blue and JK's changes them to green then whichever of the two mods loads last wins and the roofs will the colour of that mod.

Oh ok but if it is not those two mods causing the crashing in some cities, then what is? Because both add something to Solitude. JK is an overhaul of the cities and Bishop adds a place to Solitude.

Well if JK's Skyrim and this Bishop mod both alter the same building or space in Solitude then that could well be your problem. Things to try: Swap the load order so that he that is first shall now be the last. Deactivate one of them and start a new game. Then reactivate and deactivate the other and start another new game.
