Personalizing Skyrim.

I'm preparing list of personal adjustments, I'm going to add after Creation Kit comes out. I did this with Oblivion and and will with Skyrim, because I really like to have my own perfect playthrough with character being exactly who I want. These changes are mostly small enough to pull them out myself.

Here's what I've planned so far:

  • Setting hard level cap to 50 and increasing perk gain to 2 per level.
  • Overhauling bound weapons. This will be my big project for Skyrim actually.
  • Adding different effects to Warrior, Thief, Mage and Lover guardian stones.
  • Disabling fast travel.
  • Adjusting carrying capacity.

I will have wait with my perfect playthrough for mods made by others though, because my modding skills have limits. I hope for:

  • Unofficial patch fixing most, if not all bugs.
  • Non-suicidal horse AI.
  • Economy and crafting overhaul.
  • Hardcore mode.
  • Dynamically leveled artifacts (yes, Bethesda failed with this again)

What about you? Are you going to make your own personal adjustments?

I know, that some of you won't start perfect playthrough without DMRA bikini armors :P, but please, focus on gameplay, immersion and role-playing related mods in this thread.

Serious question.

Why would you disable fast travel? If you don't want to fast travel, wouldn't it be simpler to... not use it?

Some people prefer to not have the temptation, Jexsam.

I like your mod ideas, Med111. Personally, I'd prefer to leave the level 50 cap as a soft one, though. Why do you prefer a hard cap?

Also some crafting mods already exist, expanding the crafting menus. Check these out, if you haven't already:

Level scaling of strongest monsters ends at 50 level, so leveling past it makes character too powerfull. Two perks per level will give me enough power. Well, actually power to pick non-combat related perks without being punished for doing so.

About fast travel, as CHIKN404 said, it's tempting me all the time, so I end up using it instead of carriages and dumb horses.

Wait, wouldn't stopping leveling at 50 but giving 2 perks per level make you even MORE powerful? Sure, you wouldn't get as many magicka/health/stamina increases, but that's quite a few extra perks.

My main gripe is hardcore mode. Why add all that cooking into a game when it's basicly useless by the time you reach lvl 10?

Food and sleep-requirements are the basics I am looking forward to.

I'm not going to abuse it, by picking only powerfull perks for combat. I just want to pick non-combat related ones without making my character weaker.

Yeah, hardcore mode is something that really should have been in. It's like they went and added all the parts it would require, but forgot to actually enable it.
