[Solved] Registered SLAL animations not being found by mods, but still counted by Sexlab itself

Spoiler

Title may make this seem simple, and it might be, but I've tried just about everything.

To make this short:

- Started a new game

- Testing mods and adjusting MCM menus to my liking

- Activate Sexlab to ensure Sexlab related mods can be tested with zero or minimal issues

- Ran SLAL to register the animation packs I installed

- Tested Defeat (Baka version) and Aroused Creatures.

- Both function in their first/initial phases, but when it comes time to play animations, they have a hard time recognizing animation packs and thus they don't play, they just keep re-running themselves trying to play an animation they'll never be able to read because of this issue.

To answer a few questions pre-emptively:

- I'm using Sexlab p+

- I'm using both Nemesis and FNIS (With creature packs, and installed both using the guide from this: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/163415-lese-guide-on-using-nemesis-alongside-fnis/)

- I'm using Dynamic Animation Replacer

- All my mods are up to date, as well as SKSE64

- I am using OSLAroused from the Nexus

An error message I found in the papyrus log is:

Spoiler

[04/23/2023 - 12:38:04AM] info: SEXLAB - FATAL - Thread[0]  - Failed to find valid creature animations.
stack:
    <unknown self>.Debug.TraceStack() - "<native>" Line ?
    [SexLabThread00 (18061EEF)].sslthreadcontroller.fatal() - "sslThreadModel.psc" Line 1153
    [SexLabThread00 (18061EEF)].sslthreadcontroller.StartThread() - "sslThreadModel.psc" Line ?
    [slac_Utility (C3003322)].slac_utility.StartCreatureSex() - "slac_Utility.psc" Line 2672
    [alias playerAlias on quest slac_Main (C3001827)].slac_playerscript.OnKeyUp() - "slac_PlayerScript.psc" Line 634

And one from Aroused Creatures' debug in the console:

Spoiler

[slac] StartSex did not find any animations for [creature] (0/2), [FF001582], [Player character] (1/1) [00000014] and 0 others with tags req:, rej:Oral,Aggressive

And finally, the most recent papyrus.0.log I have is attached.

Any help to figuring out why I can't enjoy my sexy mods would be appreciated...

After trial and error, it was deduced to in fact be something conflicting with Sexlab p+.  I'm not sure what could've been upsetting it with SLAL, but animations are playing again. :)

how about turning off restrict aggressive and match creature gender?

That didn't work either, unfortunately, though I never really use Match Creature Gender regardless.

perhaps there is something in defeat that you need to reset

I'd think so too, but the issue persists with both Defeat and Aroused Creatures individually, they don't seem to register that there are animations registered by SLAL to Sexlab.

I do use the Defeat baka edition, and I've had a problem with it in my last playthrough in which it didn't work in a much similar manner.  I just ignored it since it wasn't too prevalent in the gameplay anyways.  I'd just accept the death if an enemy killed me instead.

As for Aroused Creatures, well... I don't know.

I use MO2, so at the moment I'm just doing trial and error, seeing if or which mods or combos might be the problem.

I'm still in the process of trial and error but after opening a copied profile for testing in MO2, I removed all mods except for my sexlab mods and their requirements, re-ran FNIS and Nemesis (again, using the necessary process), and it still hasn't had much luck.  My next attempt will JUST be Sexlab and it's reqs, then Aroused Creatures, as well as my animation packs.  And obviously SLAL.  See if that works...

Here are a few screenshots I took of the MCM menus in the meanwhile if it helps narrow it down...

Well I solved the problem! :D

Sexlab p+ was conflicting with something and it left a file in my MO2 overwrite, a file called Sexlabpp I think.  Once that was deleted and p+ was deactivated (using Utility Plus now), I got animations working.
