KW Sim cannot use shower, sponge bath, or change outfit

So i just downloaded the supposedly latest version of OKW directly from the Patreon page a week ago, and i just now realized that my Sim cannot wash itself (shower, bath, or sponge bath) and cannot change outfits after “Kinky interaction” is “injected”.

 

I notice that from some of my saved games, my sim can still wash itself but will be unable to after my sim uses the toilet.

 

The action icon still pops up on the top left screen but the sim just stands there.

 

Is there anything that can be done?

I experienced similar when loading "older" saves. But most issues are gone once you start a new game.

But it is always worth a test, to reset the whole world with Master Controller first..... (best after 03am)

This is most likely an issue with the naked outfit causing the OutfitMananger to "hang", to verify this click on the Sim in question and select Kinky World -> Debug -> Outfit Infos.

 

If you get a LockId other than zero and the message "OutfitMananger is Busy" then you need to do the following on the Sim,

 

1. Select Kinky World -> Debug -> UnlockSim.
2. Unpause the game and let it run for a few seconds and then pause again.
3. Select Kinky World -> Debug -> Outfit Infos again, you may get a popup saying "Outfit Manager has been busy for nnn minute(s). Do you want to stop the current task?" which you must accept.
4. The lock should now be cleared, unpause the game and the Sim should now be able to shower/bathe again.

I had something similar when I try to use an instruction from Steam...

I've had similar issues: If I activate KW then immediately tell a sim to go to bed, take off a clothing item, use the toilet, shower or change outfit, the sim gets stuck.

 

The solution seems to be: Avoid any actions that require a change of clothes for a while. My best non-programmer guess would be that KW needs a bunch of game clock ticks to initiate clothing stuff.

 

(A different bug happens if I turn off KW, travel to University, the Future or a Travel world, and turn KW back on. The sim becomes uncontrollable, with the cursor no longer reacting. Saving, quitting, loading seemed to work though.)

Regarding travelling, I have also noticed this strange behaviour, it appears all objects in the destination world are being "reinitialized" at some point, if you let the game run a couple of minutes the UI will start responding again after this is completed, I don't know what triggers this and I will not recommend you continue playing as many objects will have duplicate interactions, travelling also seem to be a source of outfit problems.

 

My recommended procedure for travelling is this,

 

1. Disabled KW, Save and Quit.
2. Load up the game and travel.
3. When you arrive immediately Save and Quit.
4. Load up the game, enable KW and start playing.

(Yesterday I bugged out in Uni:

1. play in Island Paradise

2. disable KW

3. Travel to University

4. save

5. play until things become unselectable

6. quit, delete cache files, load the game from step 4

7. enable KW

Result: KW interactions not working, a behavior I hadn't seen before.)

 

If I remember right KW was never intended to work with travelling; several years ago I asked OnikiKay if they agreed that China was the best place to start whoring, and they were like "Aaaagh .... Do. NOT. Travel." ... a few KW builds later things started going haywire when activating KW in China France Egypt so my new sims no longer get deflowered by Yussuf Nagi

In the Future I no longer activate KW at all, mainly because the home station turned into an orgy house within a few hours the last few games. University ... last time I played that (about a year ago)  I remember being disappointed that although I'd edited most sims to be "commanding presence" and some "woohooer"s, no one molested my female student sim  and I think the game broke after I returned from Uni. (I had disabled KW before travelling but not saved-and-restarted, so probably my own fault...)

 

 

One more thing I've noticed: After returning to their home world from the Future or WA, my sims' sexual preference stat is always reset to 0/0. EA bug I think.

I have played World Adventures to test Opportunities with two visits to each travel destination, I went to the Sim University to do some testing with 20+ Sims on a single lot, I travelled to Oasis Landing to test the bots, for the last 8 travels I haven't had any issues at all, the most important part is to Save and Quit when you arrive, the disable/enable KW part is to avoid outfit issues and is not that important, I actually forgot it a couple of times and didn't have any issues.
