So I'm getting a freeze in combat which boots me back to the desktop. This happens when fighting those overpowered ancient vampires in nornalhorst, but also guardians of oblivion which are ooo enemies. When it freezes I can see the pose of the npc that hit me and it looks like a one-handed side swipe or power attack. Fight them with my sword and sometime during the fight... freeze then ctd. Fight them with a staff of lightning from range and there is no ctd. Has anyone had this kind of combat freeze / ctd before? I sorted load order with loot in hopes of stopping that ctd. Before I was using boss edit: Ctd happened on second level of nornalhorst through a load door. fejeena Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Your game started to CTD after you had installed one or a few new Mods, so you uninstall/deactivate these Mods and your game works again. Then you check the requirements of the new Mods, maybe a missing Masterfile and then you install only one new Mod and test the game. Do it untill you find the "bad" mod. (and do not use that Mod) -------------------- But your load order is a mess I only checked a small part to check the load order in the BOSS masterlist. All numbers between the numbers above are other mods/esp, so there may be others of your esp between the above esp. Sort your Mods with BOSS (the sorting tool or manually). Just start TES4Edit and click OK, it will load all your active Mods, and if there is a missing masterfile it will stop loading an tell you. Then fix your load order and start again untill it loads all your mods without a error message. And after you have sorted your Mods you start a new game ! ! ! A bug can be in your save file. Test it some time, interior cells, world, fast reavel,.. If your game works you can try old save files (if you have already played over 100 hours and don't want to lose the progress) But better start a new game. Are you sure the patches are for the All-in-one UL version? ULM sounds like "Unique Landscapes merged" , but what is ULE ?

I am hunting for a culprit mod(s) that may or may not exist Obviously in wryebash I am also importing and merging into the bashed patch, so with tes4edit I should also check those .esp's? I also fear that it may be oblivion memory problems because I have read other players blame that for freezes and crashes Using enboost latest version with unedited enblocal.ini and oblivion stutter remover and turned off manage fps, replace heap, bcriticalsections. Now I used it again, but only with less than 10 fixes. (Set to 1 in the ini ) Oblivion_Stutter_Remover I tired different of the Windows 10 ini ( In my Link in my first post) but the game didn't work any better. Then I tested the game without Stutter_Remover . . . and less stutter and less crashes. So I'm currently not using it. Currently I use: for better function: EngineBugFixes.dll FastExit2.dll ( in Oblivion_Stutter_Remover is a fast exit function so you don't need both. Or use FastExit2.dll only when the Stutter_Remover FastExit function is disabled ) MenuQue.dll oblivion_display_tweaks.dll OBSE_Elys_Pluggy.dll (125c) obse_jail_fix.dll SkyBSA.dll weOCPS.dll (Oblivion Crash Prevention System) nvac.dll ( I removed it about a year ago, but am testing it again right now ) and other dll : Blockhead.dll DisableVampRace.dll ( can also be done in the Oblivion ini ) Elys_USV.dll FasterSleepWait.dll MessageLogger.dll OBSE_Elys_Uncapper.dll obse_training_fix.dll vipcxj_plugin_collection.dll ----------- 4gb_patch v0259enboost InjectorVersion (WrapperVersion stopped working with windows 10 ) I do not use a "beautification" ENB . I don't use Wrye Bash so I have no BashedPatch. I use TES4Edit 3.1.2 Very old but can do everything you need. And much more user friendly than the new versions. --------------------- I have not checked your load order, but If you have used the BOSS masterlist it should be ok. Not sure about the mods at the end of your load order. Do not ignore the Mods BOSS don't know and sort ! ! ! The merged JUSTICE HGEC Steelarmor Replacer.esp . I don't know if merged Mods should be in the right order, but I think so. Armor / clothes / weapon mods after DLCSpellTomes.esp and before DLCThievesDen.esp ULE UnofficialOblivionPatch-CorboloRiver patch.esp I found it, and the only master file is UnofficialOblivionPatch.esp. So you should place it after the UnofficialOblivionPatch.esp The patchfix some floating trees used in the UnofficialOblivionPatch but not in the CorboloRiver esp or the merged Unique Landscapes version. Not sure about the esp at the end of your load order But Overrides like sound and flora should be after Unique Landscapes and before Magic mods. In your load order before DKSpellEffectiveness0Min.esp .
