Unable to move in 1st person when holding torch

I'm using pre-AE Skyrim SE. For the first time ever I decided to use a torch and found myself locked in place when in 1st person. And it's not some modded torch. Just a regular vanilla torch. When I switched to 3rd person I could move. I switched back into 1st person and got stuck in place again. Is this a Skyrim "feature" that everyone experiences or is it a bug related to one or more of my mod? I have no problem with the candlelight spell. Just the torch.

In case it's relevant, here's my modwatch link. https://modwat.ch/u/NotInTheFace/modlist

Just guessing, but maybe the first person animation of equipping is caught in a loop probably due to a conflict. This would "freeze" the actor. I would check and make sure nothing overwrote the vanilla animation. After that, it could be a script interfering. A mod to check is Skyrim Dynamic Animation Replacer, which I'm sure you have installed. Look first in any dependent mod MCM options.

Strange. I started a completely new game and tested out a vanilla torch. No problem. In my prior game, closing to desktop and restarting didn't fix it. Maybe my being a Sacrosanct vampire caused the problem. I'll have to test out that theory once I hit that point in the game.

OK. This is really weird. Later in the same game, if I'm unarmed and raise a torch. I can't move in first person. Then I draw a right-handed weapon with my torch. I can move in first person. Sheath the weapon. Can't move in first person anymore. Oh, and if I have my weapon drawn with my torch and put away the torch while the weapon is still drawn, I'm stuck and can't even sheath the right-handed weapon. So I bring my torch back, then sheath the weapon. Then I can put away the torch. Seems very klunky with a hacky workaround. Can't figure out why, but at least I have a workaround.
