How to fix axe clipping when sheathed?

Recommended Posts

I found a tutorial that explained how to adjust a sword sheathed on back. https://www.dracotorre.com/blog/skyrim-se-xpmsse-mod-weapon-pos/ Apparently you have to edit the skeleton in nifskope, but I didn't find a node for weapons sheathed on the hip. I have some modding skills and I'm not afraid to go into programs and do stuff. Just need to know what to do.

I know it's because my character is quite "thicc" compared to vanilla...

Nope. Just use the "weapons" part of Racemenu

Scale (size)

Up/down

Forward/back

Yaw

Pitch

Roll

etc

it's can be bit tedious at first, but if you use a helper like A Change of Face (assigned to quick menu) to interface with Racemenu (dynamic use from in game no console or "rename character" folderol). and the camera adjustments in Racemenu to get clear view of the various clipping occurrences so you can adjust them well

remember to adjust both left and right weapons, as they are independent adjustments

And remember to save your work in a Racemenu preset

Thanks. That was much easier than I thought.

de nada. I struggled with that for a while m'sef

TBH, if it hadn't been for the oversized weapons (and hands) on my shorter-than average Nord player, I'd never have really invested time into it. Now "I can't live" (figurative of course)  without adjusting for each new player
