katrina.balanchuk Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 (edited) a)What is the point of having a great figure if all girls in the wasteland have the exact same great figure? So I would like to apply the bodyslide preset only to myself but the rest of the women/girls can keep thier vanilla figures. This would make me feel more special, and in many mods NPCs mention how great my figure is,, but it is oddd t hear that when all the other women have the same figure? b)Also how to uninstall CBBE skimpy armor and clothing? If my sexy clothess are going to be special in the wasteland not every girl should be dressed skimpy. And even worse it while give the NPCs different figures than mine but they are odod figures with giant boobs and overslender everywher else. It looks very odd. When I unistalled it many female NPCs were walking around in bright purple skins of the same skimpy outfits very unimmersive. Edited March 17, 2023 by katrina.balanchuk
KoolHndLuke Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 (edited) Unique Player Body- btw, you can have unique bodies for any named npcs in the game as well. As for the skimpy clothing/armor, if there is no option when installing to keep them out of the leveled lists, then you can use X-edit to delete them from the leveled lists. Thank you it read like it would do that. But it doesnt explain how to do that with bodyslide or een mention bodyslide. Or if I do all those things ( which I dont unnerstand, so I am nervous about breaking game) then bodyslide will only apply to the player?

No. What you will have is two separate file paths for your player and every other npc. You can either create the new file path to your player in BS or you can just build your player body first and copy/paste it into that unique player body folder. Edited March 17, 2023 by KoolHndLuke

But "A custom race is probably required to have unique head and skeleton, which might have to wait until after the CK is released." from the mods descritpion. I dont even know what that means In the past I have attempted much much clearer things that still broke my game. if it is this complex with "custom race" creation ( i dont even know what that means or how to do it) I know I will brake the game. I am hopinjg there would be a more direct /use freindly way to do it. but I am grateful that you spent the time to answer.:) As for the skimpy clothes. Do you think if I uninstalled it and look in my FO4 data folder for left over files from the mod and deleted those, it would strip it complete out of ym system? Becaue right now an uninstall just results in a lot of purple NPCs

Becaue right now an uninstall just results in a lot of purple NPCs This isn't a custom race you're making, so don't worry about that. And... the CK has been out for years and years now. Literally all you are doing is creating a separate file path for your player body. That's it. As for the skimpy clothes- uninstall the mod and try reinstalling it to see if there is an option for build recipes only. If there isn't, then look on the mod page for an alternate .esp that doesn't include level lists integration. Failing that, your only option is to either delete the level list entries yourself or convince someone to do it for you. Wait a minute... what mod are those skimpy clothes/armor coming from? Shoot me a link. Edited March 17, 2023 by KoolHndLuke

I uninstalled the CBBE skimpy armor and clothes all in one and got purple NPC girls. Then I went in and seacrhed for and deleted, the files from that mod form my FO4 folders (tehre where still some left. But I got purple NPC girls form this. It look like this mod overwrites textures for NPCs but unistalling the mod does not bring them back. I have a almost completely clean copy of all my FO4 files on another hardrive and I suppose I could try to figure out what to replace after an unistall. But experience has shown when I try such things I often break the game resulting in hours of work (those hours do teach me a lot though, last summer I did not know what a .ini file or even a DLC was) I reinatlled the mod and got all the textures back. And even though I think those assigend bodyfiles in that mod look odd I will levae it alone. Thise NPCs at least will not have as anice a figure as me

Second- when uninstalling a mod mid-playthrough you can really screw things up, so don't do it unless you know how. Third- That mod is a straight mesh/.nif replacer with BS files, meaning that install/uninstall through your mod manager always. Always until you maybe figure more things out later. The thing about that particular mod is that those BS files are done using a custom slider set and reference body. Honestly, I've had trouble working with that one in the past myself trying to change things. Best policy for you with it is to either use it as is (without doing anything outside the mod manager) or not to use it. The nice thing about a straight replacer is that it won't screw up your game if you do uninstall it mid-playthrough. But this is not usually the case with many, many other mods. LenAnderson Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 Use BodyGen (comes with LooksMenu) to give every character a unique body. 1
