I need help with my modded version of SSE

I have an issue where the only thing that doesn't work correctly right now, no matter what fix I try to apply is schlongs of skyrim (SE version or otherwise, tried both neither really worked.), and I have a lot of mods dependent on it so I need it to work properly. Here is the error that it will always throw and the load order, I know that A dll mismatch is probably my issue, but using an older version of SKSE (v 2 00 17 as suggested, because 2 0 17 doesnt seem to exist on the site?) doesnt work correctly either with my modlist (says has v64 expects 96) and I do not know how to proceed. Is there a compatibility checker program I can use that would help me resolve this issue? if so please link me to it if you can. I know I have SSE 1.1.4 but it's the only one I can find for SE. If someone can link me to the correct file here I feel like this would be sorted lickity split. Thanks for the help.

No such thing. You'll need to learn and do this manually.

  1. Go to wherever your Skyrim SE is installed, find the SkyrimSE executable file and right click>Properties>Details. Take note of the Product version.
  2. Now go to the SKSE website and get the SKSE version for the executable you have (the Product version you just checked). Remove any old files from previous SKSE installations. And if you're installing SKSE with a mod manager make sure you know how to do it (ex. MO2 can't install the exe and dll files from SKSE by default, so that part of the install is usually done manually, then you install the script in MO, or install the whole thing manually and always confirm you're launching the game with the SKSE executable in MO2).
  3. Now install SOS for SE 1.1.4 and then install the updated dll from this installer. The installer has different options to pick depending on the executable/SKSE versions you use.
  4. You'll have to keep in mind this version number (your exe file and the SKSE you use), because it's relevant to install pretty much any mod with a dll file. Just confirm the mods you're getting are compatible with the numbers you have and that any requirement is already installed (the most common one people miss is Address Library, if you exe version is 1.5.x you need the Special Edition one, if it's 1.6.x you need the Anniversary Edition file).

You'll find this and plenty of more info about SE/AE mods if you start checking the forum sections for Skyrim Special Edition.

Thank you for finding the updated dll i was missing, that seems to be all I needed for everything to be stable, the problem i'm having now is Probably a dependancy with a different mod, all of my mods seem to work with no exception errors at the moment. Specificially I'm probably having some sort of dependency issues with my animation packs, as the animations will start, the actors will get into position and then the animations will not play, however the sound will. in fact, it's probably the fact that most of my mods are SE downloads and not AE downloads, since Im still very new to this and thought that it was justĀ  edition specific, and not patch specific, meaning i probably have to start all over again with AE downloads for some of my mods.

Like i said this is only relevant for mods with a dll file (you can check this by inspecting the mod's content, dll files are in \skse\plugins inside the mod files or once it's installed in your mod manager). Animation packs for SL and such don't contain dll files, but they need to be ported from LE format to SE (AE has nothing to do with animation's file format). You also need to run FNIS or Nemesis to generate the proper behavior files. And if there's any error or warning line in either program you must address it or else your animations won't work.
