Oblivion: Discolored Bodies

Ever since I REFORMATTED (and reinstalled) my Oblivion I have had TWO people in my save game with discolored parts on their body. When I reinstalled, in the end I overwrote my new Oblivion with my old files like I do when I reformat, so it was a save game I was just playing before the reformat and those particular two npcs did NOT have a discoloring problem. But now they do, and I have not added mods, I have de-activated and re-activated all of my mods to try to find a mod problem. When I de-activate XEO and the npcs are in their vanilla form they have no discoloration, only when they are modded. What could it be? I've tried a NEW clean game started from the beginning, I've tried a fresh installation of the Xeo++.esp and so on. What else could I try please?

You answered your own question! Check your XEO textures and the ESP (In the first picture  (ScreenShot 0) it looks as if the character has Argonian Skin.

Check if the right race textures are in the right Folders .And in the esp, check if the textue pathes of the races are right.

You need to use refscope and find what mesh and esp the wrist irons are from and then where the mesh file is.  Most likely the modder who made the wrist irons forgot to mark the body as "skin".

If you don't know how to correct this yourself using nifskope then just upload the nif file here and someone will likely give you a hand.

First of all thank you for taking the time to reply to my issue. Now...

Chick in the first two pictures is kind of hot, actually. She just needs some high-heeled boots and she's rockin' it

Lmao, she's not that bad I guess huh.

I didn't get to do any of what you suggested yet BUT since you mentioned it I tried removing the wrist irons and posting a picture of the results / changes in the colorfulness of her hands. It may or may not be a part of the wrist irons but her hands are still ew, and another thing I noticed is in the Dialogue I see a little of the messy colors there too.

To clarify please observe Screenshot4 and look at the topic "Do you need a place to stay?" Check in the middle of the "n" there's like a line with a small spread of those same colors I see on her hands on the other girl's whole body from the first post. I'm starting to think this problem is because of me / my computer rather than Xeo / files because it only started after I lost all my previous updates from reformatting. But I'm still going to do everything you have told me to.

I will do that as well and see what results I have, but like I suggested to gregathit maybe this problem stems from my computer...video card wise? It's just these two people in particular so far and a random number of my "Topics" in the Dialogue have a small seam of these colors.

I have had trouble with my ATI cards in that certain races (Chocolate Elves being the worst) will have their skin turn completely black; or certain clothing/armour items will start to "glow".  Also - when I open the Map menu ingame - the entire screen (where the map should be) is white, but the location icons are still visible. Any one of these occurances is a very strong hint to save my progress, reboot my computer, and go make a sandwich while the machine cools down.

This usually happens when my computer runs out of memory because every utility I use (not to mention the game itself) has been coded by two-year old children. Children who are more interested in: 1) Patting themselves on the back; 2) Releasing unfinished products so that someone else will pat them on the back; or 3) Fingerpainting.

I usually run Oblivion with Wyre Bash open, the CSE open, Opera web-browser open; and sometimes TES4Edit and NifSkope. So it is actually my fault when things crap out. Memory gets eaten up fast under these circumstances, and it isn't returned when any of the aforementioned programs decide to stop working. I never have a problem when I just run Oblivion from the OBSE Launcher icon on my desktop.

Wrye Bash and CSE are the effing worst. When they decide to take a lunch break, my entire computer turns into a brick.

My favourite Wrye Bash trick (not really...) happens when I am working on - and continuously testing - some custom mod. I save the mod, and WB goes through its annoying and pointless "Modified Dates Reset! YAY!" and "Marking Mergeable... HURRAY FOR ME!" nonsense. I wait for those pointless pop-ups to subside, then I launch Oblivion through the OBSE loader...

And once again Wrye pops up "Modified Dates Reset..." just as the game launches. And I know it is a pointless exercise because the game is dead before it even loads.
