Ches Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 So I was experimenting with changing my ENB settings in-game last night and came across a result I liked. There's a small problem, though -- every time I press 'backspace', the settings revert to default. This is problematic because I use the console pretty frequently and backspace is an essential key. Is there some way to prevent that from happening? Or some way to make my edited ENB settings the new default so that I never have to wory about accidentally resetting it?
Groovtama Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 You have to save the settings so it overwrites the values in the inis so when you reload the settings from the inis (that's what backspace does) doesn't overwrite the ingame values to old values.
Ches Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 Forgive me for being oblivious, but how exactly do I go about doing that?
woodenstick Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Are you using shift+enter? There's an section at the top of the menu that has save and load buttons.
Shaydow Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I know the newer Skyrim ENB's don't do it once you select save settings ( if you're using the Shift + enter menu ) however in the older Oblivion ENB I use it still does this when I hit backspace as well. I solution I came up with is to HIghlight Backwards the text ( so hold shift and then use the left arrow key and highlight the text in the console ) then just start typing and it will replace up to your highlight with the new text. This is only for people using older ENB's that do this, and figured I would drop it here for searches.
