Crazy messed up graphics on male NPCs (and charcter too)

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

EDIT: some have told me this is my graphics card but I disabled it and problem persists.

With the exception of the uniform spike ( a problem beofre) not there seems to be a spike in the crotch.

This also leads ot bizzare and unimmersive AAF scenes.

(this goes across saves)

When in Powerarmor, no effects

Is there a way to revert to my previous driver?

I think you need to install ZeX skeleton and make sure nothing overload it

I have it. never had this issue beofre. Got home after a trip started up computer, accpeetd driver update and now this...

The "roll back drvier" option is greyed out and cannot be used in the relevant tab.

Also I tried to reinstall driver in case something was damaged and no luck.

I turned off the grpahics card and still got all the spiked clothes!

The giantyellowish spikes over half the screen are all form men's clothes/uniforms.

This affects both the male player character and the female character (when she has sex with men) as the anatomy stays where cut off hovering in place he was when he was standing and while having sex with female NPC (or charcter)

Supermutants are unaffected.

The problem persists with graphics card on or off.

So what gives?

This problem is after and before my most recent game uninstall/reinstall.

Are there are donwloaded clothes packs that are corrupted?

When I started the game only "army Fatigues" and some minutment clothes did it and the spikes were not as use and it was easieer to ignore.

I dont know what clothese the guys in Barbarous continet are wearing since I can ever see them properly.

So I have a total of 3 effects:

- Some select outfits spiking

- male anatomoty and that part of the body in generating streching in all areas except the ones he is doing something.

- Smaller off streches on many otehr clothes obvjects for men afectig both male player and male NPCs.

Turning graphics card on and off does not seem to improve or worsen anything.

Based on something I read elsewhere I may paste the textures from ym backup into my fallotu Data folder to overide the stock textures that exist.

but I recently did a reinstall should they have been new then too?

Or I could so a reinstall and delete more, (what more? all folder except the mods? becaue those seem to work well)

As Indarello said above, the male Bodies are unlikely to be a texture problem. Something is either wrong with your ZEX install, or it is being overwritten by something it shouldn't. Deleting and Reinstalling your Data folder is unlikely to fix the issue. Start a brand new vanilla game, no mods, no body replacers, nothing. If problem goes away, then your mods are indeed the issue.

The strangeness with the buildings and terrain in your other picture can be caused by any number of things, and isn't solvable with the information you have given us.

Thank you for the reply,

I am getting desperate.?

My male bodies are all 100% Vanilla.

I always form day 1 on pure vanilla,  had mild spikes with a couple of isolated outfits only (2), but when the driver udpate happend from NVIDA 2 weeks ago, it just all went crazy and the floating male members started stretching the lower bodies of males in all AAF animations  ( and even non animations there were weird stretching for a great many outfits).

Now I dont treat the game as a porno movie but still it is offputting.

Also when I turn off my invidia card all these thingsare still there (!))so it cant be the driver right??

Even though it happend the evening the new NVIDIA driver was installed.

Also its not 100% of all male outfits I's say about 60% of all male outfits work perfect, 25% have small odd stretches on them in the crotch, and 5% are crazy broken like in the pics.

Its just that those 5% are used a lot in Barbarous continent it seems (and also by Gunners)

But 100% of all human male bodies gravely malfunction duing AAF animations.

..about the buildings/terrain i have no complaint there, this is barbarous continent where those elemants are a bit more sparse.

Terrain and buildings are working great in all other maps, only human male bodies and human male outfits are an issue.

It took me SO MUCH work to get AAF , its dependecies and everything working properly; shutting down all mods (even if just disabling them) and then risking the load orders being messed up , well I will leave that to last resort.

I want to try all other possible things first.

And also I have not a single mod on male bodies or outfits.

My guy chracter is 100% Vanilla preset and clothes my female character which I try to match my own look form college years ago is CBBE bodyslide and mainly VTAW clothing.

Could it be  hardware issue?

Beause that is an easy fix. Looking to get a new graphics card anyway since I was convinced this issue was the card, of but of course now I know its not since the problem persists.

Also I can discern no difference in gameplay with my Nvidia card turned on or off.

PS: Also how do I make sure "nothing has overwirtten ZEX"?

And isnt that just for female bodies?

I was going to ask about ZEX on another issue is ZEX only fusion girl now?

Because the only link to ZEX downlaod I can find says fusion girl but I have CBBE ?

Zex, ZaZ-Extended-Skeleton (ZeX) is the rigging or framework that your meshes and textures get attached to; both male and female characters require it. It also has all the extra "bones" needed to make sure your fun bits operate as intended during AAF scenes. A non functional ZEX leads to the problems you have above. I do not believe there is anything wrong with your graphics card; even if a bad driver was installed, unless the card has been completely bricked, you can always go back and instal the proper driver manually.

I'm guessing that you use Vortex as a mod manager? Unfortunately I don't have any experience with it; so someone else would have to help you on that one. From what I have read, there should be a way to manage your load order and what overwrites what while using it. However, as a very, very basic explanation of making sure nothing has overwritten zex:

Your Mod Load Order:                                          Load Priority

Random Mod 1                                                            01

Random Mod 2                                                           02

Zaz Extended Skeleton (ZEX)                                   03

CBBE Girl Body 1                                                        04

BodyTalk3                                                                   05

Mods get loaded by order of priority, mods higher in the list load first, Random Mod 1 loads before Random Mod 2. Any files with identical names in a mod that loads first will be overwritten by the mods that load after it. In the case of the last 3, all 3 mods will have a Skeleton.File (not the actual name). With only a few exceptions, the Skeleton.File from Zaz Extended Skeleton (Zex) MUST BE THE ONE that does the overwriting. In the example above; the bodies will not function properly because ZEX is being overwritten by both CBBE Girl Body 1 and BodyTalk3.

You should post your load order so it can be looked at for problems.

I did what you said and we were successful with fixing male bodies:)

The human males no longer grossly malfuntion.

I uninstalled and reinstalled ZeX.

On reinstall I noticed it had a conflict with a requirement for  a preset I had downloaded the same night when this started.

So now all we have left is the crazy clothes.

But I have a feeling they will be less prominant once I leave this Island.

Thanks for pushing me to check  asolution I was not confident in :)

I'm glad it mostly worked for you?! For the outfits, double check that when you batch build them in Bodyslide, the Bodytalk3 preset is chosen, all sliders are set to 0, and the build morphs button is checked. With the exception of the Longshorman Outfit and possibly the Military Fatigues, all the other outfits should be working as intended for Bodytalk3. If that doesn't work, something else is likely messing them up behind the scenes.

I spotted a mod that lets me replace NPC fatigues by class with another set of clothes.

I may just pull the problematic clothes out of the game :)

I was too intimidated by the clothes change mod and did not do it.

Right now am just living with "Army fatigues" and "longshorement outfits" giving crazy giant spikes.
