Skyrim crashes not sure what is causing it.

I've been trying to play Skyrim (regular/LE)  again since October, but it doesn't start, and I'm stumped at what is causing it.

I have a lot of mods but I can't figure out which is causing it to crash. At first, I though it was the newest version of Zap causing the error, but installed 8.0, and it still doesn't after the Skyrim logo splash. I've re-ran Bodyslide, installed non-crash mods,  re-ran FNIS, un-installed a bunch of animation mods, nothing seems to works.

I tried installing one specific file from the new ZAP, and re-ran BS, and ONCE, I was able to get to the continue screen, then it crashed. I've never been able to replicate that, even though my mod load out hasn't really changed,

What do I need to add here to give people a better idea. I really didn't want to ask because I know this can be annoying for folks but I'm at the point where I just un-install Skyrim and start from square 1 again.

Don't get me wrong but, beside that there are few peoples with psychic powers here on LL, I don't think even them will guess what is wrong with your install...

So does your game crash when you have no ZAP mods installed? If not, check to make sure you have all the requirements for that mod. If it still crashes, a common technique is to disable half of your mods, try launching the game, and repeating this process until you've whittled your load order down to the problematic mod. You could also post your load order here and someone might notice something wrong with it.

If its not even getting to the main menu, it's probably a distinct compatibility error; wrong version of SKSE, SKSE Plugins, anything that's not meant for LE. Or, you managed to install something that requires data from another mod that isn't present. During that opening loading process Skyrim boots up all the data from BSAs, mods, what have you, and if there is a crash it's not finding something it should or did find something it shouldn't.

Otherwise, big ticket questions: MO2 or Vortex? Has it ran before correctly or is this current load order always been broken? Do you have crash logs? I dunno if LE has the same, but SE has Net Script Framework to show crash logs. Have you checked your SKSE log to see if any plugins aren't loading correctly?

If your on LE I would ask if you have memory allocation fix installed(crash fixes/skse ini) and if you have enb binary installed. The other major thing that comes to mind is missing master, load all mods into xedit, if it loads all the mods without error you dont have missing master and or unproper load order that has mod b loading before mod a when mod a is needed to load before mod b, xedit in both cases would stop loading and tell ya.
