valencia Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 So I'm doing a Succubus playthrough and I have PSQ and Succubus Race at the same time since they don't really conflict. For those who don't know, PSQ is a succubus gameplay mod and it comes with a power (not a spell) that can transform you into a succubus and the Succubus Race has the same thing. PSQ does not have any meshes or textures for the transformation so you get that from another mod called PSQ transform pack so you can customize her appearance but the thing is, the transformation from PSQ lags and freezes for like 1 second before initiating, Succubus Race one is smooth and seamless. So what I did was I basically stopped the PSQ transformation from changing her appearance and just use it for the functions and rely on Succubus Race transformation for the appearance. So it got me thinking is it possible to like create a dummy empty esp, load both of these mods into it and then create a new power, somehow take the effects and functions from both mods and put them in a single power so that when the z key is pressed, it executes both powers? Also if anybody is versed well with PSQ do you know can I make the tattoos go away when in human from and only appear when in Succubus form? Perhaps even tie it to the newly created power if it's possible? any help would be appreciated. Here are some pics of my Succubus:
venomr Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 I think that'd just make the quicker Succubus Race transformation inerit PSQ's transform lag. Though that depends on what's causing PSQ's transform to be slower in the first place. If its because of a bunch of scripts firing off at once to trigger the succubus form buffs then it probably wont make a difference. If its because the PSQ transformation models are too high poly to be loaded quickly then maybe you could swap out the models ( though that probably doesn't matter since you'd be using the Succubus Race models anyway.) New powers can be created using powers of two existing things for sure though. I'd start by making PSQ a master file for the succubus race and then dragging all the PSQ magic effects/ powers into the Succubus race transform powers, just to see if it works. I know Succubus race has a boosted health regen active when transformed, so I'd drag the PSQ magic effects into that section to see if the PSQ effects can become active during the Succubus race transformation.

Thanks for the reply. I solved the problem by not using Succubus Race and just using PSQ's transformation instead. Turned out that the lag was caused by ticking on the option to change outfits. I took my fav wings and horns from Succubus Race and just put them in PSQ's transform pack folder while also editing the body slots of the horns in nifskope because they they had a different one than the ones that come with PSQ transform pack. Though I have a question about animations if you have some knowledge on this. Can we hook a certain Transform animation that was designed for Vampire Lord Transformation into the PSQ Transformation power? I think this would require a script to tell the game to play this animation when Transforming is happening, correct?
