Long distance sex locations & Clothing removal issues.

House has like 8 double beds, sims will randomly pick the park bench (two lots away) and run there to have sex.  Perfectly good beds on the lot, also beach chairs too.  This far off distance sex location has been happening for a few updates, most notably in Island Living (since the only park bench is like half way across the map in some cases, going there instead of the peer they were AT which has chairs and they used to go there regularly).

 

Last couple of updates, playing a sim, you'll see a random request to remove a top or remove the bottom outfit item, when the sim is already naked (just finished having sex and has full exhibitionism active).  What this looks like, is during some visits in Realm of Magic, some sims would only be able to unequip everything but their bottom piece.  If I ask them to remove it, all the options are to "dress up".

It's the same for me ever since the v174 update, especially when using autonomy signs to make sure that my Sims don't go at it out in the open. Only solution I found is to disable both sex off the current lot and sex outdoors in the settings > Sex > Autonomy > Specific > Locations (second one from the bottom, names might differ as my game and mods are in German). This'll prevent them from having fun in their own backyard, but they also won't run to some shabby park bench down on the corner after one of them made a move while they were standing RIGHT IN FRONT of the bedroom door (happened only once, but it's just as annoying when they're in the living room or on the front porch).

 

Nudity seems to work fine for me, not sure what the issue might be there.

I have same issue. Tried turning off "sex off lot" but they just looooove running to the edge of map to find the remotest bench you can find. Very annoying!

This is an issue that came with 174d, I think.

I first noticed this happening with v174b and I guess it has something to do with how sex locations are handled from v174 onward. I need to disable sex both off lot and outdoors (i.e. outside, but still on the lot), otherwise they'll run as far as the game lets them, because a park bench at the edge of the neighborhood suddenly appears to be nicer than the cozy sofa in the living room.

If that happens with "outside lots style locations" OFF i guess it must be a bug? I personally have not seen it, but maybe it depends on the lot? Do you think reducing the "Sex location sample size" could help? It says that lower numbers help picking ideal locations. Maybe turning OFF the risky locations?

Well, hats off to you! I would have figured that a value of 6 should already be low enough, but reducing it down to 2 seems to have done the trick for me. They'll have sex outdoors, but not off the current lot and certainly not all the way across the neighborhood - i.e. they'll stick to what the settings are. I'll keep testing for a bit, in case it was simply dumb luck up to now, but it looks quite like it wasn't.

 

EDIT:

Celebrated too soon, they just went and used locations outside the lot boundaries again. For some reason, reducing the sample size worked great with small lots that offer very few possibilities, but it doesn't really change anything on bigger lots with multiple bedrooms and stuff (so the initial success on those probably was dumb luck). Still was a great idea, nonetheless.

Disabling risky locations is not an option for me, unfortunately, so I guess I'll have to live with all autonomous sex happening indoors only.

• Added 'Sex Location Maximum Distance' sex autonomy setting

The distance at which Sims will travel to a sex location has now been limited to 100 units. This should help with cases where Sims run to some far away place to have public sex, but it will most likely decrease the amount of public sex you encounter.

Think the picture says the issue, still seeing (especially the sim in the pants, there are others), unable to remove those pants during sex, just caught it with the Print Screen (was on another floor).  If I use the Realm of Magic spell to make them a nudist, the pants DO go off.  Occasionally, I'll see the active Sim get a "remove" for a section of clothing, I stop and click on the active sim and go into Exhibition and see if I can undress and all I can do is redress (with respect to clothing).

 

The sim wearing the pants is supposed to be getting anal with the person wearing the strap-on, but obviously shouldn't be able to through the pants.  The person with the strap-on originally had a top on but lost it when they put the strap-on on.

 

As for the long distance sex, not seen it happen yet, but this is only the first few that have happened, sometimes it takes a while for them to venture out into the far end of the park behind the lot.

 

EDIT:  Any chance to have the sims remove hats before sex too?  Some scenes look bizarre with hats (especially witch hats).  Also the pants issue I'm seeing, seems to have started with RoM (the person wearing the pants is from that pack).

Well, that update was a BUST...  Farthest park bench got selected 2 lots away.  The house is just under the build icon, the green icon is where the sim is waiting for the partner.

 

Was really hoping that 100 unit limit was going to fix the distance issue, but, it just ran over it like a freight train.

I found a bit of info on the outfit removal, earlier she was Completely Undressed and after sex, that was the very first Autonomous thing she wanted to do (as a Naturalist).

 

So something that happens during a Sex scene is causing the Sim to be in a state of confusion with respect to what they're wearing.
