Noob question about Sexlab

Guys, as you can see, I am a newbie. I was browsing for a sex mod so that I can make love to my in-game wife (if you are wondering, it is Jordis).

 

But I am overwhelmed by the data available and cannot make sense of it. So can anyone kindly help me and explain step-by-step on how to install sexlab, FINNIS? Especially FINNIS, because I messed up twice already and ended with weird frozen NPCs and I tried to install XPS skeleton and my first-person camera swings up and down without any control.

 

I am confused, and been a newbie to the mod scene has not made things easy for me. Please, can anyone give me detailed instructions on how you guys installed this mod and made it work for you? (The sex screenshots you guys posted are so great that I am jealous of you guys who do have the mod.)

There is a great video series on Skyrm Nexus by Gopher which takes you through step by step how to mod your game. It is made for beginners to modding so I believe it will really help you. I am also a noob and having been watching it and found it very helpful.

Actually, Gopher's videos have helped me at lot to settle things as I started modding. I have installed all the unofficial patches and BOSS. I went one step further and AFT with Cerwiden for her healing skills. I am playing on Legendary and installed Deadly Dragons and set it at "Insanity". Believe me, I spent my game days sneaking around to minimize surprises and maximize ambush. It is very stressful at times! So when I married Jordis and checked the top mods and found Skyrim Prostitution, I opened a new door for me. Sex with my wife? Of course!

 

I will follow the instruction on the thread you suggested Ark of Truth. I will keep you posted.

 

Also, is there any advice for installing sp32 skeleton?

Nope, nothing on the skeleton sorry. I hate that damn thing for lack of install instructions.

Yeah, I agree. When you activate it using NMM, there are various options that come up. But it might as well be Chinese, because I do not understand the meaning of each instructions...

 

It is so easy to mess it up. Each time I tried installing it, it makes my first-person camera unresponsive...

Ok, guys, I somehow got this to work. Please allow me to walkthrough what I did and if you see any errors, please do not hesitate to point it out to me. By the way, I already had SKSE and NMM installed

 

1. I manually downloaded both FNIS files form the Nexus. Then I used Nexus Mod Manager to install the mod.

 

2. Then I manually downloaded XP32 Skeleton and used NMM to activate it. I used the "Defaut" selection for each choice. Except the one for "Joy of Perspective", I choose "No" for that one. I think my problem until now with XP32 Skeleton originated from the fact that I usually chose "Yes" on previous install. That might be why my first-person camera would swing up and down when I walk...

 

3. I then downloaded "SexLab Framework" and used NMM to install it.

 

4. Then I went into Skyrim/Data/Tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users and chose "GenerateFNISforUsers" with Administrative Rights. I selected "SKELETON Arm Fix" from the menu at the bottom of the window. Then Selected "Update FNIS Behaviours". As with the image FNIS did recognize "SexLab"

 

5. The I downloaded "SexLab Romance" and installed it with NMM. The I did a FNIS update.

 

Then I tried to into the game using NMM with SKSE. I convinced Jordis and we started to have a go at it. I am not used to the controls and had to leave the game to update you guys. Did I miss anything? Can this setup work for future install?

Well, it is working! I am having a full relationship with Jordis. But at the end of the sexual encounter, both my PC and Jordis fall to the ground fully dressed. But there is no texture for sperm like I have seen on some screenshots. Did I forget to install another mod? Can anyone advise me, please?

Did it being hide under your cloth?

 

For sperm texture, I found that it quite hard to notice for me as well.  Maybe it was made for a certain body type.

Yeah, I agree. The sperm texture is been hidden under the clothes. But my spouse would reequip the armor after sex, so I cannot see it... I tried to fiddle with the SexLab config in MCM, but nothing. Head scratching for sure...

Guys, I need your help again.

 

I just migrated the game to a new laptop and am now experiencing crashes. Everything appears the same until you reach the end when the characters go into ragdoll and boom, crash...

 

I followed the instructions to the letter. I have FINS (both main and add-on), XMS, SL Framework and SL Romance... I used the FiNIS tool each time after I installed things so I did nothing different...

 

Can anyone advise me please? Thanks for the help in advance!

You'd better post your load order first.

Maybe some mod you install lately conflict with others.

I think I know what happened. It is because I loaded from a save of the middle of the game. When I tried to load a game save where I have no mods at all (in Riverwood at the beginning), SexLab/SexRomance work perfectly. No crashes or anything.

 

Sigh, time to restart. Oh well, I did want to marry Serana...
