can't have sex with significant other

i don't know if this is because i asked multiple people to be my girlfriend, but every time i try to get my sim to have sex with my girlfriend, they refuse, because they "have a significant other". I gave all sims the polyamorous and adulterer traits, so they should all be okay with sex outside of relationships anyway, but this is just screwed up. The only people I can have sex with are ones i don't have a relationship with. what's going on here?

For troubleshooting - I'd change your Gender settings to anything goes, and your Sex Settings-->Cheats for sims to always say Yes. It's possible the settings for people denying sex when theyre in a relationship are effecting their ability to say yes cause theres multiples and while you may be dating them maybe they arent dating eachother? 

Id start with changing those settings and seeing if things work and then building out from there.

That’s possible. Playing a little more, it seems like I could have sex with my girlfriend one on one, but my other partner would refuse a request to join in. I just had an encounter where my other girlfriends requested to join an encounter already in progress, but I didn’t try asking them all for a foursome again and seeing if they said yes or no. It’s also possible the other women’s friendship levels are affecting whether they want to have sex together, I guess.

 

Btw, two (probably unrelated to WW?) problems I’m having are that I can’t type on my keyboard in game (but buttons for in-game navigation still work), and on my date, the socializing options were missing, it just showed the bar with the clock, but nothing underneath it.

I would think it's related to the other women's "Attractiveness," settings if you have that turned on. They may not be interested in other women and thus will decline prompts. You can modify who theyre attracted to in the Attractiveness pie-chart or turn the feature off in WW completely or just set Sex Cheats to always accept.

 

Those sound like UI bug issues.

Did you patch a few days ago? If so it's like UI Cheats, More Traits in CAS, More Columns in CAS, or a similar script mod is buggy.

You can download TwistedMexi's "Better Exceptions," and it should tell you if a mod is out of date.

Is there a way to run Better Exceptions "manually"? I've had an error message pop up with it before, as it automatically detected an error, but I don't know how to perform a manual scan of the whole program.

I haven't been able to get anything to run manually except the Patch Day scanner (and it will just list all your mods and say to check if their up to date - its not helpful)

 

The easiest way to get it to trigger is to just take control of various households in-game - eventually you'll hit a sim with some broken CC and it should trigger the scan.

Ok, the "welcome to" Better Exceptions notification at the beginning of the game lets you scan for conflicts. Weirdly, these were the only ones it found:

Strangely, I ended up putting everything back, and nothing was broken in-game anymore. I have no idea what's up with that now.

The only thing "conflict" means is that 2 or more mods are editing the same content, that does not mean there is a real problem. Some conflicts are meant to be, and are perfectly fine (for example the body parthider in simdulgence realgenspenis is supposed to conflict with other files in the mod, and it is perfectly fine since it is an override). That does not mean it is a problem. On the other hand you can have a ton of "broken" mods and cc screwing your game and get no "conflict" since those are not editing the same things. 

You have to upload the whole exception file, and check every single "conflict" to see if its actually relevant or not, and all the other useful information contained in it. Showing just a small extract does not help at all, and nothing of what i see in that extract is even remotely related to the problem you describe, so there must be something else and it really sounds more like a settings problem than a mod related problem, but i could be wrong.

Have you send your save to Husk, who gently has offered to test it for you? Because sometimes an error file is not enough to find the problems, unfortunately.

I think I got it. Based on llama's suggestion, I checked the settings again and there was an option requiring all participants to be attracted to one another in an interaction, so I changed it to "only attracted to one of the participants" and it's working now. Thanks, everyone for your help.

Happy to hear that you fixed it, like i said it looked more a settings problem than a mod problem. Keep in mind what i explained for the future, do not think right away that a conflict is the cause of the problem, review what that particular "conflict" is doing, look further for other causes.
