Well, that unfortunately happens quite often with EA. Look at that aberration called "my first pet", or things such as autonomous ask to be boyfriend/girlfriend locked in the High school years pack instead of being part of "neighborhood stories" and that is just 2 examples.

Another boring pack where you spend all your time doing the script that EA hands you.

I want a pack where you can do something outrageous and work it into your imagination. I want World Adventures with France and Egypt and China. I want Into the Future and plumbots instead of stupid servos that wear out your mouse button clicking to buy parts.

What is it with these EA guys? They have no imagination

dunno about you but I want a chinese themed pack, like maybe a world that recreates beijings forbidden city as a vacation spot. 

dont get me wrong snowy escape is nice . but we need diverese locations. besides it'll get the chinese off eas ass next year if they decide to do another korean inspired lunar new year thing.

That is a bit expensive, does it include a new world or only new game mechanics? I have not followed that much what the expansion actually includes.

A bit? Really? $54.99 in Canada for barely $10 worth of product? EA / Maxis is targeting the only audience it has left: Pathetic shills on Youtube and their sad lonely fans.

 

I refunded High School Years because it is crap (Thank you Gaben!) and there is nothing from EA or Maxis coming down the pipeline that I want to buy. Perspective: The first EA product I purchased was Music Construction Set. For my Atari 800XL. I have spent over $600 on this game and I do not feel like I was ripped off. Steam sales and bundle discounts FTW. But the barebones shit released recently ? LOL! No thanks.

 

Maxis and EA are just doing the minimum to milk fat basement dwelling lonely people out of their parent's money with the help of their Youtube whore team. The first time I planted a Cow Plant berry and saw the fucking thing was named "LILSIMSIE" I let it die. Now Cowie One and Cowie Two stand tall beside her corpse. Weeds grow around her feet.

 

Maxis is already dead as a game development company. The Sims 5 or "Rene"  will be the final nail in the coffin that houses the long-dead and rotting corpse that is the withering remains of Maxis. Maxis exists in name only. Maxis is a PR firm. In other words - liars. Maxis is not a game development company. I imagine a bunch of old ladies in Bangladesh wearing sari's and sporting bindis pumping out code 24 hours a day in a sweat shop buried deep in the slums of Dhaka.

 

Unless you have a Youtube channel there is no reason to even play this crap. Mods and modders keep this game alive.

Honestly, EA does this all the time. Like someone else mentioned, My First Pet Stuff.

This is why I switched to using the repack (don't know if I'm allowed to name the creator here), thats free with all the DLC and so, no more money wasted.

What's a repack? Is that were some talented game modification author makes something similar to an game DLC but different in the required number of ways to avoid copyright conflicts?

a repack is a term used in the pirating community to ge around eas silly little drm rules. 

basically they rip the game and repack it so you can play offline with out ea knowing.
