thatruth25 Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Hey! I've bee looking into making comics, but idk where to start exactly. Any recs on good comic creation tools?
Wonders of Eros Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 If you want something cheap that has a ton of flexibility, I highly recommend checking out Manga maker ComiPo! It does the job so well that I have never felt the need to switch to something else. You can create custom frame layouts in seconds, apply filters, insert and edit speech bubbles and onomatopoeia on the fly, and the software is very performance friendly. No matter if you are making a 2D comic or one using in game images, MMCP will do the job. When I make a Skyrim or Oblivion comic, I begin by conceptualizing the story and plotline in a document. Once that is done, I go in-game and take the screenshots that I need. I then edit the screenshots in Photoshop and other image editing software if I feel that it is necessary, and finally, I create the actual comic book inside of MMCP. I have included two panels from one of my unreleased projects in the spoiler below as a showcase of what you can accomplish using only in-game screenshots and MMCP. Also feel free to check out Golden Opportunity for a very bare-bones example of what a comic made using MMCP could look like. Spoiler Hopefully that is of some help to you. Good luck with your comic and feel free to post more questions if you got any.
