What content are you trying to download. Mods, for instance, all DO have "Download" buttons.

..and didn't understand how to get to the download page of the mod in question.

there is a button -> "view file"
this takes you to the download page
and only there is the "bottom" you described

Va in una qualsiasi pagina di download e premi sul tasto "Download".
