Beastess Spider Crash Game

When I get close or try to do anything with a spider game Crashes any advice

Afaik there's a patch for the spider model used in Beastess. I'd check over in the comments section of the mod's support page. IF it's not spec'd in the download section and description. (I uninstalled Beastes sometime during the past 2 years - at least over a year ago - so I don't remember the specific details, just the crash and that a fix was available, and that it worked)
