Anyone know how to fix this?

It appears in quite a few places...I assume it's a texture//missing texture thing. More about the white space  than anything.

Try to use console to get data of what textures are missing. If it is mod - try to check what mod is it, maybe in description there are some info about missplaced textures or so.

If it is game defaults - write about that here, with data of what textures they are, maybe someone will be able to check that info.

(sorry, I'm not fallout player, but if it happens in skyrim with me, I'll move in that direction)

That looks like either broken previs/precombines or messed up occlusion planes (whatever the boxes are called with window portals).

so clicking the space in the console just gives me some basic FO4 mess...at first I thought it was ELX, but removing ELX didn't fix anything so likely another texture mod in play.

You can temporarily "fix" it by opening the console and typing tpc and then hitting Enter.

 

Like what was already suggested, something is breaking previs/precombines.  I've got the same thing in my game in interior spaces, but the tpc console command will allow me to see it normally.  Once you exit the game and re-enter you'll have to go to console again when it happens.

Yeah could be someone moved the room bound box marker by mistake editing the location in the CK if it's not previs/precombines.

ffs I've never seen that before...thanks! that's stupid handy. Now when I go toward the white light it'll just be bullet related  

Now I just have to sort though my CBB/3BBB/OCBP issues and i'm golden.

I had this problem with a addon of CWSS. After delete this the prroblem was gone. The addon makes all bath in Boston functionable.
