was there an update in which the female sims with penises cannot impregnate female sims? i tried getting help from old formus but the solution  that seemed to be most effective had a broken link and I'm not sure how to fix that

Just to be clear: What exactly are you looking for?

 

If you want them to function like male Sims, all you need to do is go into CAS, click those three little dots right under the male/female symbols and change the pregnancy options there.

 

If you want the "full futa experience", you need a mod that enables both of these options simultaneously, e.g. this one by Turbodriver: https://turbodriver.itch.io/cas-intersex

After installing this (and deleting "localthumbcache.package", found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4"), you should get an additional option in the CAS gender settings, as shown in the screenshot on the download page.

Make sure that this is the only mod you have that allows both pregnancy options at the same time and also test it first (i.e. play around for a bit without saving the game), as it is stated to be for game version 1.90 (current is 1.93, unless I missed a patch earlier this week). It's likely still fine to use, but this game has taught me to exercise caution regarding these things.

In the event that anything goes wrong during testing, simply quit the game without saving, remove the file from your Mods folder and delete "localthumbcache.package" again.
