I have been on Youtube since April 2006. Before Google bought and destroyed the platform.

Today I log in and I don't have a fucking channel. All my subscriptions are gone.  http://www.youtube.com/garcemac

If you can see my channel, I am not subscribed to one of the channels listed. Not anymore.  all gone. Bye!

I think the more correct statement would be Odysee is for little kids, I just looked at it for time and it was awful. Which would explain why the videos have no views.

@OP   sorry you got backwards with your account. Sadly I haven't seen a decent rival to YT yet.

It's not pornhub....

A lot of youtube creators are there because they have a feature that automatically loads the video to odysee and youtube at the same time, basically mirroring YouTube.

Nah not really, whatever hope blockchain had is completely ruined by dipshit cryptobros who keep pumping shitcoins every 10 seconds like their lives depend on it. Odysee is a complete joke in terms of usability, viability and scope, hell BitChute had a far better chance at becoming the new "YouTube alternative" yet it's also in the drain just like the rest of them.

I like Odysee. Bitchute has very few features. I haven't seen a dark mode on it. Its search is totally useless. And the front page is always filled Q-boomers. Rumble and Odysee are doing what should've been done by Bitchute five years ago. There was a time when Odysee had severe buffering issues, but now that they've fixed that I'm impressed with the platform.

I hear ya, but still there's no way to gain any traction from posting on Odysee. At best you can use it as a digital backup/archive in case YouTube gets drunk again and nukes your channel for no reason but you can just put it on cloud or a personal website or something. Content creators are not interested in opting to fringe platforms (just look at Ninja's move to Mixer) and none of them can afford to provide the level of quality and features YouTube provides so it's too big to fail anyway.

You're right about the Q-boomers shit though, BitChute really shot themselves in the foot by trying to platform all the moron losers that got booted off of YouTube and everywhere else for being such moron losers who do nothing but spread bullshit all day lmao.

Nah, just the ponzi scams revealed themselves. People lost their money because they were greedy and didn't know what crypto was invented for. It's not a trust fund, it's not a security, it wasn't meant to be a get rich quick scheme, or a get 6 feet under quick in some cases; No, its a currency, and it's a currency that can escape the banking cartel. XMR is still strong baby and MoneroChan is totally fuckable. Bisq or Monero decentralized exchange for quick fiat. People who trust Coinbase or Bianance are fools and fools are soon separated from their money. Frankly, you should be ashamed if you invested in FTT.

On paper crypto is awesome cause banks are absolutely braindead way too frequently (specifically card companies) but crypto is still a very unstable and volatile thing to deal with in practice. For it to hold any value as currency it needs to derive it's value from fiat currency which then defeats the whole point, so they don't do it and it makes crypto unstable again. Blockchain is a good way to get money across moronic card company restrictions but when crypto lacks any tangible capital value it's bound to be taken up by cryptobros who turn it into a ponzi show.

Most people who get conned are boomers or people with no technical knowhow or understanding of how any of this works and most of the time they're just fed lies anyway so i think instead of shaming them we need to create more barriers and educate people more effectively on how to recognize scammeroonies. But at least Monero gets some fine art so that's a plus lol.

By that logic, we should still be trading in silver because what is fiat if it's not digital already. Now, yes, I get it, ultimately fiat is enforced by government and society law, that's why it's considered "safe" to use, but we will eventually get to the point where we have a balance of accountability and anonymity in crypto. And, maybe crypto will never be a replacement for fiat, but as long as it's a viable alternative, the cartel of banks can't force people into poverty by inflation, because as the dollar decreases, it's alternatives will increase and you're not required to store your monetary wealth with an IOU from a bank, much like physical assets, you can bury your cold wallet and draw a treasure map.

Just a reminder about the banks. What happened in China when they tried to withdraw from the banks in their current situation? Yeah, that's the downfall of relying on fiat. Because that is all a bank is, they take your money, they create money out of thin air through loans and interest, then they give you an IOU for the money. If the banks have the government in their pocket and the government is who enforces that IOU, then the bank can, at will, not pay you for your IOU.

Anyway, I'm thread hijacking, sorry. I'm out.

You ever heard of Saddam Hussein, he tried to get around the banks(US Dollar/FedRes) and most of us knows what happened to him

I personally see digital currency in the future but the BigDogs will control it and when it gets to that point they will have good idea of all/any digital currency transactions,

Oh brother.

The reason fiat currency is safe is because it's value is standardized by the government and usable in the market as is, it's quite literally the benchmark and for crypto to have any value of it's own it needs to have an exchange rate based on that benchmark. When a coin tries to exist "on it's own" it flies out the handle almost instantly because now nobody knows what the hell it's even worth when converted to a usable currency. That's an inherent design flaw of crypto and there's basically no way around it.

Banks are no friend of anyone, i know this cause part of my job requires me to work with them but crypto by no means will alleviate inflation because of that fundamental flaw. The assets you own in crypto still have to be assigned a value in fiat for it to be usable in the market. What's happening in China is not a bank problem but a governmental problem which the banks have not much say in anyway.

I don't think it's derailing the thread but i'll dip outta here now in case it is.

Well I know Elon was going to try and turn Twitter into a YouTube competitor in an effort to make them change their censorious policies, but I definitely have my doubts on that one. Hopefully someone with a lot of money like Elon or Elon his self buys YouTube next because given all of the, frankly, illegal activity that has been coming to light on Twitter I can only image what would be in YouTube's closet.

Elon is proof that someone can be the richest man in the world and still be a bumbling retard with no social grasp. The gall of him to even suggest that anyone will pay $20 and then $8 for a checkmark after pathetically pleading with Steven King alone is laughable, but all the other shit he's been doing since then is no doubt making YouTube and Google belly laugh in their offices.

You are bending over ten dollars to pick up 5 cents. Also, the main stream media lies.

Main thing I hate about youtube is that their stupid fucking deep learning bot deletes comments silently without reason or warning. Trying to keep youtube "safe" by removing the possibility or desire to engage with creators and their communities. Go to any youtube video with a bunch of comments and you'll find many of them are just not there. Other thing I hate about youtube is recently they started filling my feed with absolute garbage I would never want to watch, like mommy vloggers, baby gender reveals, prank channels, fortnite streamers, professional sports channels, mainstream modern pop and rap "artists" etc. This website is going down the toilet. I wish there would be a mass migration to another platform but I don't see it happening ever.

I absolutely hate that shit, whatever bot they're using is clearly not very good at picking out what's bad and what isn't cause a lot of harmless comments get nuked too. A website shouldn't be so safe that it treats criticism of something harmful the exact same way it treats something actually harmful and last i checked YouTube not only doesn't do shit when it comes to harmful contents but actively promotes a lot of them, the amount of times i looked up something random and had to filter through 10 daily wire videos is absolutely disgusting yet they have the gall to pretend they're progressive. Money is all they ever give a fuck about.

You are aware that creators can use a blacklist of words and have their comment sections auto-filtered if a post includes any of them?
And there is no regulation on that. I once watched a creator say that he has the word "actually" blacklisted because he didn't like some know-it-all´s in the comments correcting his pronunciations.

I'm aware, but there also seems to be a general comment scanner on top of that for auto-moderation. You can see it on the mobile app where it you sometimes get a prompt about following the guidelines in case the creator has turned off the blacklisting feature. You can still slip through it cause it's not super effective all the time (bot accounts with slurs as usernames for example) but they usually get picked up by the algorithm and taken down eventually. But man blacklisting the word "actually" to avoid being corrected on pronunciation is fucking hilarious lmao.
