Heppai Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 I know this is something really simple but Ive played around with my settings and I cant figure it out. I updated my 2070 to the latest driver and everything, inclduding the nvidia overlay looks washed out. The colors look pale, the menu screen has a faint white noise esque look to it. To clarify, everything else on my pc is fine, I actually did some changes to my settings and it looks even better on the PC. BUT none of it carries over to the game. I dont think this is an ENB issue, ive tried that too. Its a setting that needs to be changed, I think. Any ideas?
Just Don't Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 If it's anything displayed on your screen and not only a particular game, it could be as simple as changing the dynamic output range. Open your NVIDIA Control Panel and go to "Change Resolution" (under Display) 1 and 2 should be already set (verify 2 is set to your display's native resolution just in case) in 3 set "Use NVIDIA color settings" and confirm "Output dynamic range" is set to Full. Press Apply if you made any changes
Heppai Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 Apologies, I googled this and tried it but im using a TV for my primary. The output dynamic range is only allowing me to select Limited. Full isnt even an option. But that aside its only happening to skyrim. Tbh, I havent tried other games to compare. Before I began troubleshooting I was using default color settings and now my default colors are even better. However when I go in game, it changes to those washed out colors.
Heppai Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 (edited) I checked a few other games and none of them have this same issue. Washed out faded look. Only Skyrim. Its gotta be a setting somewhere. Here are my settings. On the second screenshot, is there a setting that I'm not seeing? anything that stands out? Edited November 30, 2022 by Heppai
Heppai Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 I think I fixed it. It had nothing to do with settings. I switched my enb forceborderless to true and its back to normal.
