Fusion Girl body slider issue

Recommended Posts

Finally managed to start the game without a message popping up that tells me a mod isn't working. So I go to the body modifier in diamond city and use the body slider, which is now showing up, but no matter what I do the fusion girl body doesn't change. I eventually put everything to max and exit and notice the armor recognizes the body sliders but not the actual body texture. Its like there is an invisible suit on. Help me please.

Check your destination folders and other settings for bodyslide, especially the bodyslide output folder. This has to match where bodyslide is actually sending the files.

is there any visual instructions you can point me to? i have no idea where anything is i just barely found the fose launcher thing. im using vortex so i haven't been digging into files and destinations much

So, launch bodyslide (make sure you have followed Vortex instructions on installing bodyslide correctly  - MO2, which I use, is a bit more than just "install and run", for example).

1. Click settings (orange circle, bottom left)

2. Click advanced (small red circle top right)

3. Check the bodyslide output path matches where the bodyslide files are being saved. I use MO2 with stock game, so I create a bodyslide folder in my mod folder - not sure how Vortex does things, but as long as this points at the folder location, it should work the same.

4. Rebuild bodyslides, when you come to build, press ctrl-click when you choose batch build (i.e. hold ctrl and click at the same time on the word "batch build").

5. Choose the same folder mentioned in advanced settings and click select folder.

Check if that worked and report back.....

- Open BodySlide, pick your outfit.

- Press the button between the x and the magnifying glass that says "Group Filter" to open your outfit in Outfit Studio.

- If there's a body delete it and if it is divided in pieces delete every one of them.

- Go to File>Load Reference and pick the reference you are going to use, it depends on the body you are using.

- If there's cliping between the nifs edit them, if you are going to make an exagerated body you can make the tight meshes a bit lose to avoid more cliping.

- (Optional) You can add or remove items if you like, just open the folder where they are and drag and drop, for example I added sandals and a body to a socks model and made them shoes (Edit the esp, esl, esm to fit the body slots if needed.)

- In the slider conform all (Ctrl+Shift+C).

- If the outfit doesn't have a body delet it, if it has, leave it.

- Save and close outfitstudio.

- Change the outfit and then pick again the one you just edited and check ifthe clothes change, if not do the same until it does.

Why does it happens? probably because you are using the same body but an old or different version with sliders that don't match your current reference or because the output path is wrong, as a side note just for the record if the body slide is too big and the outfit doesn't change due slider issues it can cover the outfit and make it look like it disapeared or is transparent but in reality is inside the body of the charactera, sometimes it looks like another problem until you check your nif.

Set the output folder and check if the meshes are being overwritten, if not copy/cut and paste them in the right folder, I use ModManager and always use the overwrite folder, if my nifs are ok I move them to their main folder.

Another little mistake that can prevent the correct building of a mesh is the outfit not being elegible to use your preset, if you batch build lots of stuff the outfits that can't use the preset will build with all the sliders to zero, it sometimes is not noticeable until you check one file by one, to prevent this add the outfits to the same group with your reference, in outfit studio open the "Group Manager", click "Browse", select the file of the group of your reference, pick a group, click on "Add a Group", on the left side pick the outfits you want to grab, ctrl+left click and shift+left click are your friends, click "<<<Add" then save the group, now every outfit added should be able to use your presets made with that reference.

and i have no outfits or presets.. the mods i download didn't put any extra outfits as a requirement. im using vanilla gear. i noticed the vanilla gear changed size and shape when i used the ingame body slider, but it looked like the armor was fitted around a invisible body that surrounded the standard fusion girl body. like a invisible inflatable suit..

If you cannot find your bodyside output, what does it say in output path in the bodyslide settings menu, I showed above?

I will explain what I do, and that might help.

1. install a female body (I use fusion girl)

2. install a body preset for fusion girl (which describes the form of the body).

3. install a clothing mod that needs be shaped (for example - "TRS clothes for CBBE" is installed, and then I install "TRS fusion girl bodyslides" after this so it can be made to match my chosen body).

3. I select the body (fusion girl nude) from the Outfit/body tab (top left) and the preset I installed from the tab below this

4. I then select the fusion girl TRS option from the group filter pull down menu and only the Fusion girl options. (If it doesn't have a group filter option, the clothing parts will be in "unfiltered" at the bottom of this menu - when you choose this option you can manually click on each part of clothing instead).

5. I then select Build morphs and ctrl-click build to make sure it goes into my bodyslide folder.

6. let it run. Repeat for the male body.

I have seen bodyslide files end up in strange places (check the fallout folder in my documents for example).

Fusion Girl comes with the Vanilla Bodyslides, reinstall and mark the check boxes that add them, set your output folder as the other guy told you in his first image with the red circles, batch build the outfits and make sure you check the box that says "Build Morphs" next to the batch build button abd that they are in the right folder, it seems the body and the clothes dn't have their sliders conformed and that's why only a part changes while the other stays the same.

Before i try the above, some extra information i found. So i went to the in game body sliders via diamond city doctor and put multiple sliders to extremes, the nude body didn't change but the clothing did, I'm not sure how to exactly describe it but i think the nude skin might not be attached to the body slides, but the vanilla clothing is. I'm using fusion girl and the related body slider mods and i do have one fusion girl slider preset mod but i cant access them. Not sure if this information helps or changes the above advice, I'll do what you both suggest while waiting for your replies.

This clothing was made for FG 1.45

I don't know how to do any of that, i installed in game sliders because i don't know how to do that stuff. I don't want to make skins or outfits I just wanted to use vanilla gear with fusion girl and use in game sliders to edit fusion girl. I have trouble understanding how to navigate the body slider program and i don't know where anything is in my pc so when I'm told to find something or direct a path somewhere i can't. I'm trying to understand though.

And I'm not sure I'm properly explaining what's going on, the vanilla clothing is working perfectly with the in gane fusion girl body sliders, but the actual nude body isn't changing.

If its not obvious this is my first time modding fallout 4.. sorry in advance.

You still have to use Bodyslide even with vanilla clothing, if you use Fusion Girl (or a preset for any body).

Simple solution:

Open bodyslide, select fusion girl nude top right

Select body preset below this (will say "thin" or "Curvy", "Lasmans thicc", etc, depending on what you have installed as a body preset).

On the right, in the menu "group filter" choose the vanila and DLC fusion girl tick boxes.

Tick "build morphs" next to batch build (bottom left).

Click "batch build".

End

but i need a preset? the fusion girl mod doesn't come with a basic set up that i can mod with in game sliders?

i Believe i do have one preset from a child of atom mod. so i open the application on desktop, find the mod, look for the preset in the mod and load it into application?

It is an .xml file that sets the sliders in bodyslide, so you don't have to.

They give you the choice to easily install a set if options, without having to create your own slider set each time.

Please help, I have a Fusion Girl body preset, I click on batch build, go into the game and create a new character, but nothing changes. Can you show in the screenshots how to configure the bodyslider correctly?
