koopa86 Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 I have a large mod list and something here is causing lag spikes. Using 'Elephant's Script Latency Tester' I am at 55ms when not moving, but sometimes running around outside it can go up to the 80's and you can feel the lag then. That only lasts for a few seconds and then goes back to the 50's. However when entering a new cell, especially with at least a couple of NPC's the latency goes up to the hundreds (500-700) for a few seconds. You can see the NPC's stutter as they walk as well as my character. It goes away after 2-4 seconds and then stabilizes back to the mid 50s. This happens every time I enter/re-enter a cell. During fights with many NPCs the latency never goes above 75. One or some of the mods on the list below are behind this issue. I suspect its sexlab related stuff since this is the first time I am using mods such as these and have never had this issue before. koopa86 Posted November 29, 2022 Author Posted November 29, 2022 I will try 'Resaver' and see what happens. As for what's inside the bashed patch. I never do anything fancy with it. I always install Wrye at the end once I am done modding. I then just rebuild the patch with whatever it loads for default. I never manually import anything or tag stuff. I know I have a lot of mods and lots of 4K textures but I think my PC can handle it. So I don't think that's the issue. 1

I would even build new body slides, rebuild bashed, re-ran Nemesis every time I removed a mod and start new game. So now that I know it wasn't any sexlab mods. Dyou see anything in the list that might seem like its doing too much. Because the way the latency spike would happen seems to indicate to me that something was being distributed to every NPC on screen. Which is why I think/thought it could be an SPID issue.
anjenthedog Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 (edited) Fwiw, I recently had to backtrack on one of my players, because she started doing something that sounds like what you've described in terms of symptoms, somewhat randomly as to when it happened, but periodically without fail, the world would freeze for maybe a second, maybe 2, not sure, but very perceptible free zes. Then back to normal (and on and on) Elephant was not picking up the lag either. In my case, I remembered vaguely when it started, right around the time I swapped a bed using jaxonz. (not that the bed did it, just that it locked a memory of "when" in my head). Once I opened a save file from before that time, everything was ok again, so I suspect I simply humped that save. Not humped enough to cause a CTD, but enough to gum the game up. Have you tried opening an earlier save from before it started exhibiting this behavior?
