kurisu7885 Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 Well, it's offline now, and none of my game time nor have my recently played games have changed, and all of my TF2 items are still in my backpack as well as all of my Steam cards, and I never even once saved my CC info to my account, never even considered it, so I have no idea what the fuck they want with it. Only recent changed is Guns of Icarus being added to my account. Hell, my Steam wallet has never even been used.
kurisu7885 Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 Really starting ot wonder if business days factor into this.
kurisu7885 Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 Ok then, it hasn't technically been a week yet. And I just remembered, I have a little ace i nthe hole, I have the Portal 2 Steam key that came with my PS3 copy >:3 So I have a CD key.
kurisu7885 Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 Well, been contacting Steam support several times, andn ow the ass has started palying my games. The top one on my Recently Played list has changed.
Ark of Truth Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Well this is currently on their support site. Sounds like a massive account hijacking could be going on. High Ticket VolumeWe are currently experiencing high ticket volumes. To ensure your ticket is answered as quickly and efficiently as possible, please include all relevant information within a single ticket such as Proof of Purchase, msinfo reports and screenshots. Please note that we do not provide technical support for non-Valve titles, please contact the associated publisher for assistance.

One of my friends who have been watching this said the hacker claimed to have a folder full of plans for my account, and jsut a bit ago when said friend spoke to them, they said "go the fuck away before I bring your internet down" I'm getting the strongest sense that this is some punk kid who wanted something for free.
Ark of Truth Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Aye, but the problem is the longer he holds onto the account the harder getting it back is going to be.
kurisu7885 Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 Aye, but the problem is the longer he holds onto the account the harder getting it back is going to be. Because he can out more verification on it which would prove to Valve that it's his. Thing is, I still have the Portal 2 product key I used to add it to my Steam. Got it free with my PS3 copy.
Ark of Truth Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Here is some more info. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2347-QDFN-4366 You just better hope he doesn't get you VAC banned either.

kurisu7885 Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 well, did soem moree reading ,and I submitted a pic to my ticket of my Portal 2 peroduct key with a sticky note showing my steam support ticket number
AgentChicken Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I've been a Steam Member for about...3 or so years now?, i have never personally had a problem that needed Steam supports attention but most of my steam friends have had problems and said that they can get responses ranging from almost 10 minutes or a day or even a week. Steam may take time to fix small errors but just be glad its not origin who you called for help those pricks (pardon my french) take their sweet time. I personally if i was you, would create a new account and change passwords frequently, NEVER turn off steam guard, and make sure that Steam is running in administrator mode. That's if Steam does not get your account back, I also find that its recommend you ignore all group/friend invitations of people or groups you do not know, or have interest in talking or joining with.
Ark of Truth Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Why create a new account when he has paid games on his stolen one?
AgentChicken Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Why create a new account when he has paid games on his stolen one? I'm not sure, but i think steam can help you get your games back if you show proof that you actually bought the games on steam and that your account was hacked. Its worth a try though.
kurisu7885 Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 I have a rpoof of purchase for Portal 2, so hopefully a new account won't be ncessary. And as said on Steam's support site, they're experiencing a high ticket volume. Likely a lot of bored teenagers stealing accounts or something.
kurisu7885 Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 YES, I JUST heard back from Steam support, gave them the number and type of card I used in most of my purchases as well as a picture of my support ticket number along wit hthe product key I used to add Portal 2 to my library.
Ark of Truth Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 That's great now prepare for their bullshit.
kurisu7885 Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 That's great now prepare for their bullshit. I'm guessing you mean proving I own the account.
Astaroth-Lite Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I think it means that he's a pessimist and wants to make sure we know that. I'm sure things will go fine for you.

Ark of Truth Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I think it means that he's a pessimist and wants to make sure we know that. I'm sure things will go fine for you. No seriously Steam will give him every run around they can before they will give him what he wants.
kurisu7885 Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 Eh, cautious optimism ,and I cna understand, I imagine many support tickets they get are phony.
kurisu7885 Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Well, an update, I woke up today figuring it was going ot be another day, but I got into my email to see that my Steam account is back in my hands. Valve restored it to me and as far as I can see everything is as it should be. Though the only problem is I see no option to enable Steamguard.....
