A few issues with tentacle animation and some redapple functions

I thought I downloaded the right things but for some reason, the tentacle animations don't seem to work.  I click on a strange plant, but no wicked whims tentacle options show up.  I have the mother plant sex options available when i click on an empty spot but when the mother plant shows up, the sims animation is REALLY weird looking.  Does the mother plant need to be on its own lot?   Did I miss something else I need to adjust?

 

Also, I have the redapple "call center" installed in a lot and some of the task options are easily dealt with.  However, when I tried to satisfy the chat with co-workers, gossip about office romances (to specify at least two), nothing happens.  Also, I usually get a task of telling joke to boss, but I don't see that as an available choice.  I am mostly able to do basic tasks (such as cleaning desks, counters, showers, etc.).  I can't get a good workday rating because I can't get all or most tasks completed.  Am I missing something here too?

Regular Strangerville plants don't work for animations, AFAIK. You need the one from Asketo and/or FausTTerM, depending on which set of tentacle animations you want to use.

As for the mother plant, I never managed to figure out that one as well. Standalone animations would look off sometimes (not sure if this has sth to do with different body parts or how certain CAS sliders are set), and when using the actual mother plant object (either in the lab or placed on another lot) it would only work every now and then. I remember that you need to set the way WW sex starts to "instant" rather than the default "walk and talk" style, but that also didn't guarantee success for me.

 

Regarding RedAppleNet, these tasks tend to get broken by game updates. Basic work tasks (i.e. the stuff in the top-most of the three lines) usually are registered by the game as completed, but socializing with co-workers and all the boss-related stuff have a habit of disappearing or simply not working. IIRC, the RAN career is based on the code for the doctor career from the GTW pack, so some of the issues might also stem from that career not working properly (not sure if all the issues with it have been fixed yet).

"Tell the boss a joke" is done through the regular joking options (pick any, they should all work), but the conversation tasks that follow are all custom interactions which (at least for me) are not present in the game currently, and that pretty much prevents any progress towards a promotion.
