Wicked Whims doesnt work anymore

I have a big problem with the new Wicked Whims version. I updated my game and i cant load into my game file anymore. It shows me an error, i cant load into my family anymore and the pop-up notes in the right corner or completely blank.

I tried starting the game only with Wicked Whims in my Mods folder and i still couldnt load my game, so im sure only Wicked Whims, no animations or objects, are the problem.

Is aanybody experiencing the same or knows help?

Have you tried running the game without any mods (not even WW)? Also remember to delete "localthumbcache.package", found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4", whenever you make any changes to your mods or the game itself.

Sometimes, if your game crashes or you can't load your households, it's actually the game that is broken. If the issue persists even without any mods, you should perform a game repair via Origin / verify the integrity of the game files through Steam. I've had this happen with two game updates in the past, game repair fixed everything both times.

having a similar issue and none of the above fixes worked. i can load everything fine but Wicked whims doesnt exist at all as a function and i cannot for the life of me figure out why. everything is loaded and placed where it should be but ever since the last update it may as well not be installed at all.

Sounds to me like there's an issue with the script part of the mod. Is it just WW sex that is missing or are the WW settings also unavailable? Are other mods (if you have any, e.g. MC Command Center or Basemental Drugs) affected as well?

 

Without knowing this, some general advice:

Game updates usually disable mods, so check your game settings and make sure that both the options for "custom content and mods" and "script mods" are enabled. I once had an issue where mods would be disabled every time I launched the game, because the game didn't update its own version info and ended up stuck in the "just updated the game" state. Deleting the file "GameVersion.txt", also found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4", fixed this for me.

Also, if you have MCCC installed, pay attention to the notifications in the top right corner of your screen. If there is an orange one that says something about a "LastException", there should be a report in your MCCC folder (an HTML file, which you can post here).

Other than that, I can only recommend to double-check everything related to the mod installation. If it doesn't work with only WW and maybe some animations (because WW only comes with five or so) in the game, the cause for the issue is usually something rather simple (in my expeience, at least).
