SL errors and I NEED HELP!!!

Ok WTF is going on with my Skyrim SE sexlab mod??? I just got into the whole SL mods thing and follower every installation step and video to the letter, but upon booting my game I get an error message stating that my SexLabutl is missing or outdated. I have the correct version for SE. When I launch MCM, I cannot interact with the SL mod in any way other than highlighting different things. I've been trying to fix this on my own for the past two days and this is my last-ditch effort to fix it. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

You probably don't have SSE, as you'd have to specifically downgrade the game to get it. All your mods with dlls need to be for whatever version of AE you have. That is 1.6.*, not 1.5.*.

If you are running 1.6.+ then you are going to have compatibility problems with some things designed for 1.5.97 (last version of "SE" as opposed to "AE", though those terms are not always helpful). 

 

So you are running 1.6.X (I don't know the current version).  Make sure you are running mods designed for that. 

 

Or, you can use the downgrade patch on Nexus to go back to version 1.5.97

 

I would offer more help but I am on 1.5.97 and don't have any experience with the 1.6.+, "AE", so have not really looked into this stuff. 

 

As Traison said, you are probably running into compatibility problems due to different version.

Notice that Steam will automatically update the game. To stop that go into Steam settings and select a time period when Steam is allowed to download updates. Use a time period when you are never online, like middle of the night or whatever time period that suits you.

 

Also notice that will prevent Steam from downloading patches for other Steam games also, so you have to manually activate the downloads, you actually do want, in the game library window, bottom Administer Downloads section.

 

So stop Steam auto updates, downgrade game to version 1.5.97 as suggested in above post, then game should work again.
