I would like to move on from this game and do other things now that I finished the mod I wanted to make and completed the new DLC of the game with it.

Also Shawn can update amy mods with no issue, so when I comm him to update it will post it here.

Also talked to him on adding jiggle physics and we got a idea on how it could be done. If someone is willing to do this that be awesome!

The reason why I didn't announce this here right after uploading my mod was simply because it was very late for me to stay up at the time.

I need to take a break after this, it's what I've been doing for most of my time the past couple weeks and now it's finally done. I can now rest.

Thank you so much for your work. This is amazing! This is all I could have asked for! Now I just need the Shadow mod to be completed dammit. (The mod author for that mod for some reason is taking forever to update it, even though it’s “already ready”….) 
 

Quick question, do you know if the glitch effects are tied to the character pac itself? Because I was wondering if I could try to disable them by myself (I have no knowledge at all. But if it is an “easy” fix, I could try to do it.)

If you mean like the entire character model appearing like a hologram and not the particle effects appearing around them, that is part of the character's pac file.

You need to edit the materials (with HedgeEdit) to remove the cyber texture and replace the cyber shader and other parameters with something else.

Take a look at the character's orig materials with HedgeEdit to get a reference on what a non-cyber material supposed to have.

 

As for the cyber particles, it's probably either part of a character's pac file or something else like "EventCommon.pac" but I don't know which file specifically within these pac files that causes these effects and what tools would be needed to modify it.

The update has been released. No more cyber particle effects anymore (unless some cutscene or event overrides it somehow)!

As for getting the cyber ghost version of my mod to work, I tried but I don't know how to make her body appear less opaque so the effect matches with the rest of the model. Editing or swapping materials don't work so it's probably something to do with her model but I don't know what to do exactly other than flipping the normals of the cyber outline which was the correct way to get outlines appear right but doing it the same to the model itself just inverts it which did nothing to change the body's transparency to match with the rest of the static effects of the model.

Shawn had this issue before on the original and I believe its due to the textures, I cant remember the main culprit of it.

I don't think it's the textures. As a test, I had the body used vanilla materials that were using the base game's textures and it made no difference in getting the cyber effect to look right. Instead, it just makes the body having the wrong textures.

Are there any plans to make barefoot Amy's feet *not* be formless blobs, or is that outside the scope of the mod? I'm not necessarily asking for human-like toes--they can be more like animal paws--just have something so it isn't like she's just wearing smaller shoes, as that kinda defeats the point of that option.

 

I can wait if need-be; I understand being exhausted and done with a project.

Sorry if I didn't word my message properly last time; I was trying to say that either one would be fine in case one was easier to implement than the other. If you can swap them with regular human-looking feet, like that one Amy model earlier in the thread--be it because they're already modelled or whatever--that would fulfill my request.

 

EDIT: Can you at least draw lines on the feet to represent toes, the way N64/PS1 games did for fingers? That would require zero modeling knowledge.

However, my interest in modding this game is low these days since it's been months after completing it and I got other projects to do.

Sadly, it's unlikely that I'll go back to update my mod for a game that I'm no longer playing anymore.

I never figured out how to get the cyber ghost shader properly working for the model (there's no tutorials anywhere for it) and I couldn't find a way to make the model compatible with the Playable Amy mod because I couldn't extract that mod's skeleton for rigging or something like that.

 

The only time I could see myself playing the game again (as well as modding it) is whenever I feel like doing another playthrough or there's other new mods that interest me.

But for now, I rather focus on Sonic X Shadow Generations when that comes out.

For Details, in the real world she has her dress on and she's got nothing on underneath, and in the digital world sadly her dress did not survive the conversion process. Silly ancient computers.

The Void willow/GMP shantea/Amy head hack model was used to make this while keeping the original hands, head and feet from the game.

Moving and renaming "chr_amy.model" to "chr_amyP.model" along with the textures and materials to "amyP" folder and convert it to .pac format surprisingly works fine with the animations looking pretty normal as one would expect.

Just plop this file to the mod's files where "amy.pac" and "amy_orig.pac" are and it should work as part of the mod.

 

The file address should be like this:

"SonicFrontiers\Mods\Nude Amy\raw\character"

The cyber ghost effect is probably too noisy than even the vanilla playable model though, something that Shawn would probably fix in an official update.

I'm just providing an option here to let you play as Shawn's nude Amy early so you don't have to wait for that update... if it ever comes.

Known issue is that animations in her legs look more noticeably off without the cyber ghost shader. Her idle animation with the cards is broken too.

There's nothing I can do to fix them, that's up to the original author of the mod.

 

 

As for my own version of the Nude Amy mod that uses Smez's model, I'm very close to finishing it.

I got all the variations implemented with the material shaders applied properly for "chr_amy".

I still need to do it for "chr_amy_orig" (non-cyber-ghost Amy in cutscenes) and of course "chr_amyP" (playable Amy in Another Story) to complete my mod.

I tried to add Amy's nude body to her birthday variant (chr_amy_birthday) but the game crashes while loading for some reason and I don't know why.

What a shame, Amy would've had ribbons attached to her tits in-game if it worked. Though I could just have that as another variation for the main models.

Also here's another thing:

Before I worked on importing Smez's model, I did have an attempt at importing Ganondork's model of nude Amy to the game because I still like curvy bodies (including ShawnGuku's Amy model) as well of course, not just on-model ones, but unfortunately I couldn't figure out a way to fix her arms and boobs for animations and I don't feel like bothering any further. I'm getting tired of this game and I want to move on after finishing Another Story and of course releasing my mod of Smez's model.

If the mesh is transparent when imported to Blender, uncheck "Show Backface" for each affected material and that should fix it.

I already made and named the vertex groups that matches the vanilla model's vertex groups but perhaps I did something wrong like assigning the wrong vertices maybe.

which file is the one where she still has her top on?

I've looked into the Playable Amy mod, that did a proper job of replacing Sonic with Amy as the main character instead, and tried to make a nude variant but I couldn't get my tools to extract the mod's skeleton so I could properly rig the nude model.

That was a couple years ago now though and I've since moved on to something else so I won't be modding this game anytime soon.

 

With that said, I might as well point out that I have made an attempt of a NSFW mod for Tails but it went unfinished because I didn't know how UV mapping works.

I decided to share the WIP version of the mod recently which can be found here:
