I have a problem where all of the devices related to restricting arms don't play correctly or seems to be overwritten by some other movement animations but I don't know which. Situation: zbf devices work initially right after equipping but the correct animations break after a single jump. Character returns to default movement and idle animations (probably default?). Non zbf devices don't work. Yokes don't respond, as if nothing was equipped. (Arms not up) Armbinders "work" only in idle AND after unchecking ZAZ's "Overwrite if needed" in MCM (Arms behind but not bind when running/walking/jumping). Reloading the save is required to update this state as even after unequipping the armbinder, the animation doesn't update. (Arms remain behind when idling) I've ran FNIS (Gender specific animations, Skeleton fix, TK dodge patches) then Nemesis (Gender specific animations, Jump Behavior Overhaul, Movement Behavior Overhaul, TKDodge patches) (Update) I've currently uninstalled Nemesis but the problem is still here. Both give 0 warnings and errors. I was initially suspecting some movement/jump animation replaced DD's animations but I checked my list and can't seem to find anything else besides the ones that use Nemesis (Overhauls), which I've removed already... Yeah, for NPC's in armbinders/yokes the movement animation is missing. They move around with free arms and go back into bound position when standing idle.

From one of the mods i got (forgot the name), there are slaves on the streets with yokes and their arms are in the correct position. The incorrect animations are all on my character, which is why I'm confused...

Except for a short moment, typical while loading save game, i've never seen armbinder/yoke animations not working properly for PC. From your mod list i can see that your are using about the same DD mods as i do. Something is disturbing animation and my guess from your mod list would be DAR. Try temporarily to disable it and related animations to see if it makes a difference. After disabling my list of loverslab mods I pinned down to the DDe Extra patch for Naked Defeat which caused the animations to break. The issue seems to be fixed now. Thank you again. t.ara Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 NEMESIS can not work for DD because it can not compute the FNIS-creations of AA-animation-sets. All aa-stuff has to become blocked by deleting them from the behavior-task-files of fnis, if you like to let NEMESIS run FNIS animations. It´s possible to seperate the AA stuff and let the rest run via NEMESIS-but that makes no sense for the animation-quality as NEMESIS is writing the FNIS stuff exactly in a same way into the behavor-graph. This means with the DD and ZAP stuff you better stay with FNIS, if you don´t like to have a lot of work for such a participation inside of your wish-to-do-list for no reason. Yes, more than one version of ZAP is simply causng nonsence-sooner or later. BAKA animation-pack for ZAP is not working on the last versions of ZAP because BAKA is not communicating with master-mod-authors and simply changing master-mod-resources, without asking. The problems then occure on the user´s side because there´s no plan on BAKA´s guide, nor further interest to offer different versions and ask for a permission at least. It´s the same if I create a mod, which is destroying DD´s framework-and then all the questions will be related to KIMY´s thread-and it all is looking like she did the mistakes !!!:-)

Gameplayer Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 There are mods that do not have ESM/ESP or ESL. Example, Dynamic Animation Replacer mods. And what kind of mod can you find in a DAR mod that would cause the arms to be all fudged up? Idle animations. I've had this issue before we had DAR available with idle replacers, just dont exactly remember the name of said mod, but yes using ESP type mod that forces a behavior when the player/npc is standing still "idle" will also cause a break of the armbinder behaviors. Basically someone has to figure out how to fix said problem, surprised I cannot find a solution for this because it should be way more widespread. Of course it may be likely to completely move most DD animations over to DAR and use its numerical system as the weight that "wins" animation conflicts over "idles" and other anims that could mess with proper armbinder usage.
fottenberg Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 i had "devious devices equip" installed in MO2 as soon as i tried disabling it on the left panel (disabling devious devices BRRF and DD BRRF patch equip esps on the right panel)... voilà armbinder animations are working as intended just to say, hope it helps
