Balerion82 Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 (edited) FYI, at least one computer wallpaper (I won't be surprised to find more, but I've only played on high until installing NPC_GW recently and changed the Wallpaper from the one I'd been using because ya know, variety), will display entirely generic images if you set your graphics below "High..." I switched to medium while using Gila's 4k textures because his textures are already 4k and essentially don't make my PC do most of the work of not only rendering them, but also upscaling the motherf***ers. It's a shite system CDPR has created, but I'm glad I finally understand what it's been doing. Allows me to run 4k textures much more smoothly with less VRAM, but I noticed (and it was a small frustration but one that bothered me and made me question my load order and sanity, because the damn file should be overwriting everything that could conflict), but every computer showed some orange digital topography or an araska phone relief... I finally opened the file in wolvenkit and discovered that sure enough, only the 4k "high" texture .xbm had been altered and the other two were just vanilla. ? I'm not annoyed that a lower resolution wasn't included, so much as that it wasn't even mentioned as a requirement/potential issue for users that they absolutely need to be running this on High textures (something that can only be changed in ini configs or Main Menu and not in-game). I fixed it (kind of) by creating a new archive using the 4k .xbm and simply renaming it for the lower end .xbm files. If you ARE super struggling to load 4k textures you might actually want to export the thing and resize, re-import and then pack it. EDIT: Yeah so actually didn't fix it...image is too large for comp screen without being resized...sigh... Edited February 19, 2023 by Balerion82

That's one reason I searched for some alternatives. I actually combined these mods with a mod on Nexus and another mod here (Alternative Advertisements), and a mod to replace Geisha with Motoko Kusanagi, lil this lil that.... It will take you some work, but the author of the Alternative Ad mod has actually gone to the (undoubtedly tedious and time-consuming) trouble of making replacers for what you're likely seeing as the "fallbacks" and other particular kinds of ad boards. This mod mostly covers the main static ad boards. Also, some of the work by the Nexus mod author on Lore Friendly Advert Replacer is good and I've mixed stuff so much, can't say for sure if any of his hit the fallbacks or vectors... Most of my ads are this mod and Alternative Advertisements. I actually basically chose most of this mod's ads for statics, and chose some of the other options for some things (ie, the decorations files), and then I chose a few from Lore-Friendly mod on Nexus (I just can't help laughing at the dark humor of a scene where there are dead people with the tag line "At least you're wearing Jinguji!"), and then put the ones from Alternative Ads I preferred to basically overwrite where I wanted them (thanks to the author of this mod btw for splitting up the decorations file, that allowed a good bit more choice on over-writing as before it was take your file whole and try to arrange some of Alternative around it) and otherwise allowed Alternative to fill in all the places others had not touched. So basically, yes, this takes some work, and replacing the adverts is hard (I've looked at how it is done), and yeah, don't blame this author at all for not doing that, but good news is you can mix and match and use some other mods to fill the gaps and also enjoy some variety that way! Just make sure to order them properly and if you know for sure they are literal 1:1 tradeoffs (many of them are NOT and only using the -conflicts tool in wolven CLI or going through each file in WolvenKit will tell you), do yourself a favor and just axe one, save your system the strain of processing the conflict. You will end up with some funky boards when you allow files that overlap to work out their conflicts (some ad boards trying to display several ads simultaneously), but it's like 1 in 5. I decided, worth it. Seriously though, get CP77tools so you can check to see what files are winning what conflicts so you can know you're getting what you're wanting to out of each file, regardless of the mod. You must have done an amazingly unlucky spot check on the wallpapers LOL! Yes "Panam 1" and "Judy and Panam 1" had incorrectly edited files for lower resolution settings! I just checked all the rest of the wallpapers and the 4k, 1080p and 720p files have all been altered so they should show no matter the graphics settings. I won't lie. I never changed my settings while testing any of the mods. But I do always edit all of the file options available when they are presented. I will be editing those files and reuploading the fix soon! Edit: I'm even more dumb, I just miss-clicked process instead of process all. The correct edits were there but only the 4k one went through! woopsie! Still uploading fix soon! That is hilarious that I just HAPPENED to stumble on one of the only screwed up files, lol. I appreciate you fixing it, because I tried forever to mess with it, but I don't have a good way to mess with xbm files apparently. Tried to play around with a tattoo file converted to dds in Gimp and when I exported it back and tried to throw it in Wolvenkit, I found a purple rectangle in place of the tattoo image, so I didn't even bother with this thing, lol.

NSFW Ads / NSFW Decorations V4.0 Update: Overhaul of filing system. All NSFW Ads are now individual files Added a new .rar with photos so you can see what the ads look like before you add them. Some NSFW Ads have options for you to pick from. Some of the older NSFW Ads that weren't as good have disappeared, I plan to redo them (one day) but if one is missed that you liked let me know! You can now easily mix and match with CyberPoke or Advertising Alter or any other mod that offers individual Ad files. Most file names between mods should be the same or very similar and easy enough to distinguish which ads are the same. Big Japan town ad and rolling sky ads have been moved into NSFW Decorations 4.0 If you are using vortex, delete all the options you do not want out of the rar, then just drop the rar in. 1

Was that this mod or am I just imagining it? that was 100% a mod. I deleted it because it was a very early mod I made and it was 2.3gb compared to later tv mods that were 0.2gb. I will remake this mod to a much smaller size, but in the mean time I am re-uploading it to the drive for you! It will be under the N54 section within the hour (I honestly for got how good this one was :P) 1
