Darian
I already talked about this subject in http://www.loverslab.com/topic/17364-mod-ideas-plans-discussion/?p=439640. That previous post was about how I would have done it, but I think what is important is what it supposed to do and why. Probably people here will come up with better ideas than me. Everyone agrees that a female character should have opportunities through sex. But on the other hand there is a whole range of psychological and social consequences that normally prevent women to use sex to gain advantages as much as they could, and these consequences are difficult to recreate. Some interesting mods in skyrim, fallout or oblivion try to simulate them but they fall short because they lack the tools. In my opinion there are at least 4 things sex frameworks should provide to mods so they can be more realistic: 1) “Kinky-meter”. A way to quantify the immorality of a sex act is needed, something like a “kinky-meter”. Sex covers a wide range of activities, from consensual to prostitution to rape, threesome, bestiality, in public, etc. A way to evaluate the sex act is needed, from a nice missionary with a lover to the most depraved orgy. It can be used for many things: To scale the social and psychological impact of the act. To know if the character can accept a sex act, for example if she doesn’t have enough experience she will refuse. To determine pleasure. The “basic” sex is nice for everyone, but really naughty sex can be a big turn-off or a great turn-on if the character is into it or not. 2) Debuff for sex. I think sex should bring some kind of penalty of debuff, and the higher on the “kinky-meter” the worse the debuff should be. I know it’s strange for a sex framework to discourage sex but otherwise the character has no drawback, she can have sex with a whole city just to see if she can gain something. With a debuff for sex, modders can create situations where the character will hesitate: “You wouldn’t normally do this, but maybe if I give you this…”. And since the debuff increase with the immorality, negotiations can occur: “I won’t accept to be fucked in front of everyone, but I agree on a blowjob in a private place.” It also turns rape into a deterrent without using damaging-rape mods, which I think don’t really do the job. For a similar reason, lust (or sex-deprivation) should come with a buff. I’m sure modders will find interesting ways to deal with lusty characters… On the other hand, I think pleasure or orgasm should give a buff. It gives a reason for relationships (where orgasm is a lot easier to come). The “sex debuff” and the “pleasure buff” should be in different areas (for instance debuff on fighting skills and buff on non-fighting skills), so giving up the former for the latter is an option. 3) Rapes outcomes. In mods I have seen, rapes are used in many ways; to humiliate, to threaten, to submit, etc. In order to really work, those mods lack a way to know if the character resists or breaks during the rape. For example, if she has enough fighting-spirit to struggle until the end or if she gives up, or if she enjoys it despite her will (this is where a lusty character will have troubles). 4) Character evolution. The character should be able to evolve, in at least 3 directions. The character should be able to grow perversions, making them more enjoyable. There is a lot of mods with specific fetishes, if the character can evolve she can be “taught” (willingly or not) to enjoy those fetishes in those mods. Maybe developing perversions should make classic sex too… bland. So in order to get the “pleasure buff” the character will have to surrender to her dark fantasies. The character should also get some kind of experience. She shouldn’t be able to start a career as a prostitute right at the beginning. The character should get a reputation of some sort, because a respectable woman can get more than someone known to be a cheap whore. It can lead to a lot of interesting ways to “cover” the sex acts: negotiating discretion or confidentiality, not doing it in public or doing it with a mask, killing the witnesses/partners, securing the area to check if there is no window, making the guy drink a lot so he won’t remember with whom he was, being convincing at denying rumors, etc. Whole scenarios can be imagined to be sure nobody will ever know what that innocent looking woman really does. If those 4 tools were given to modders we could probably see a lot more depth in mods. Link to comment
Zadil
Those are some pretty good concepts and I applaud the rationality behind them . You should grab yourself a programmer and make an own game out of it.It would be great if this idea got picked up in one way or another, although I assume that it would require some deep changes to the existing framework Link to comment
gregathit
There is no need to open a whole other thread to discuss something that really belongs where you originally posted it. Please use the Sexlab mod ideas thread. Locked. Link to comment
