Unusual Problem - SLAL won't load Animations All at Once, But Will Individually Activate Them

As it says in the title, I'm having a very strange problem. SLAL won't register animations all at once, and even when it does register animations, it outputs nothing to the console. I have to go one at a time, which really isn't feasible. I should mention I'm on 1.597, with SL 1.63.

I don't really know what to do, and the thing is SLAL DOES recognize there are animations to register. If I hit count animations, it says that there are 1k to go (I have the 2k patch installed, which is shown in the SL menu).

Its pretty annoying so I really don't know where to go from here. I'm also getting 'Access to non-existing object' errors, which I have no clue what its referring to.

try this debug suggestion

1) From desktop, open the game

2) Open the SLAL MCM, and wait for the MCM to populate with its submenu entries

3) Open the General Options subemenu

4) Click on count animations and wait for it to produce its modal information box

5) Printscreen (ie, take a snapshot))

6) Reply (later) here with the snapshot  (sometimes a picture IS worth a thousand words). Use a spoiler window to deposit the image for a tidy post.

Ok... to continue

7) Close the info window

8 ) Click Count Animations and wait for it to produce its modal information box

9) Printscreen (As in 5 & 6)

Ok let's move on...

10) close the info box

11) back to the main SLAL menu

12) select one of your installed animation packs (that has animations still to be registered)

13) hand select two (2) of the animation sequences (not 1, not 4, not "all")

14) Return to the General Options menu

15) Click Count Animations and repeat steps 5 and 6

16) Close info box

17) Click Register Animations and wait for it to do its thing

18) Repeat steps 5 and 6

Return here and post a reply including each of the aforementioned snapshots. Put them in a spoiler to make your post tidy and encourage viewers to not walk right on by because of a "wall of text" that few of us want to have to scroll through.

I could speculate til the cows come home, but I'm not feeling it today. It's likely pilot failure, or a recently installed mod that's not playing nicely, or an animation pack not meant for use with SE. (Or even some sort of nasty script lag issue...idk... like I said, not feeling the speculation today
