yeah, took a look at the blog and came up with a few of my own ideas. 

 

(1) requiring people to pay for vip passes is fine but at least accept payment through a more reputable client. Luckyshare and FilePost aren't very reputable. Luckyshare won't even allow you to pay with PayPal. In this day and age you have to be a complete idiot or very trusting to give out your credit card to a random company that you know nothing about.  Frankly any site that severely limits the download speed for free users is crap. I know they got to pay the bills but there are hundreds of other sites out there that offer file hosting that don't do that to their free users. 

 

(2) $35 for even a one time payment is rather a bit much as, while I could certainly be wrong, I doubt that you own all of these games or images. So basically your asking payment for all the time that you took to find the games and images yourself, uploaded them to a host and made them all availible in one place. While I understand that that takes a lot of work $35 is a lot. AND though you say that it is only a one time payment and that it is good for eternity a user's subscription to the file host where you have all your files will not last forever. So when there subscription runs out then they are left in the same place as any other user except now they can see all the VIP content that they can't even download because they have to wait hours at a time between downloads. In the end while you only require a one time payment a VIP user on your site will only end up having to pump more and more money into either of the two file hosts. That really blows. 

 

(3) What gives with the disabling of the right-click functions on your blog. Seriously?! Is that somekind of security protection. Do you know how annoying it is to not be able to open a link in a new tab or a new window?

 

(4) You would probably get a lot more people interested in purchasing VIP content if they could actually see what they are missing. This would not have to be the case for everything but take the H-games for instance, since that is really all that I am interested in on the site. As a user, if I come across a game that looks really good but then I see that I have to be a VIP to download it then now I can clearly see one advantage to getting that VIP pass. If I never see what I am missing then why would I even care? You describe the categories of stuff available to VIP members and you say that the content meets a rating higher than 95% or something like that but in the end that is YOUR PERSONAL RATING. I may think its all just meh. It would be much better if you implemented a user rating score that way we, the users, can have a more objective opinion about the value of a game or piece of media. If I can see what is available to VIP member but am forced to get that pass to download now at least I know what I am missing and am much more inclined to purchase the VIP pass.

 

(5) It's your blog, on it your God. That's great, really it is. It means that you get to approve of any comments that you want and reject the ones that you don't like. That being said when I am looking at purchasing a product I will never buy something that doesn't have at least one person who has given it a poor review. If all I see are good reviews then my immediate instinct is that either the reviews have been censored or that the reviews are fake and the buyer paid users to write good reviews. If you want your site to be more reputable allow some people to comment on things that are poor about your site. A user has the right to know BOTH the good and the bad about a product and since you are asking payment for your VIP passes then you have really made your site a product. 

 

All this aside, though it sounds like a flaming rant and while certainly there are a lot of things that bother me, I will say this. You did a good job with this. It is certainly one of the largest hubs for H-games, among other media, that I have ever seen that wasn't completely in Japanese. Albeit, 90% of the games are in Japanese. You really could improve your site by making an area devoted purely to English translated H-games and other media. Keep up the good work, tweak some things and your site could be amazing.

You know what... I will copy and paste your post and create a thread!! This is not the place to talk about this!

You know, I think you took my criticisms the wrong way. I really am not out to flame on people. I have already gotten some stuff from your site and liked it. I have been unemployed for 3 years so every little penny means a lot to me so I guess I become overly critical about spending money. At the vary least, though I don't know your intentions behind it, I think I should thank you for making a thread based on my criticisms. It allows me and others to gain a better understanding of what your users think. Ahh, well, if you have been insulted then I am in wrong and apologize. As an artist I critique so that I can help others improve not to tear them down.

I'm curious about the blog as well, but have to agree with Demonwise as far as not knowing what I'm missing out on.   After a brief look around, I couldn't find what I needed to know (ex: hgames = English or Japanese only?) (not even sure I can ask this here

 

Would be cool if the info was found on the blog -- err it might already be there.. just haven't found it yet.

 

Anyways... hope you succeed with your blog.   Looks kinda what I'm looking for but I'll wait 'till I find out more about it.
