Emily
Emily used to had chicken pox once when she was little. it was so horrible, those small boil and wart keep appearing on her skin and from scalp, face, and hand to toe. (Even inside her pants). it's like a crazy epidemic, suddenly her entire house was infected and we're aren't allowed to take a bath by some myth that pox invasion will grew worst on contact of water. One of emily's collage now having a small pox. She is so sad, miserable, unsightly and horrifying like movie flick, we stay out of her in fear of contagion. It's unknown if a person who developed immunity to chicken pox are suppose to be immune to small pox and other pox type. Anyone ever have small pox before? if you haven't then it's very likely, you're going to face it one day. It's one of inevitable diseases. Link to comment
Brigade
You in some kind of third world country? And no, only cow pox grants immunity to smallpox. Only thing chicken pox grants immunity to is shingles. Link to comment
Slammer64
Small Pox is a KILLER disease, where the hell are you Emily? WHO (World Health Organization)should be notified immediately! Small Pox is nothing to fuck around with, I mean even the U.S. and the old Soviet Union looking into weaponizing it as a biological WMD. I suggest you read this article Emily, it may help you understand just how serious this is: http://www.bt.cdc.gov/agent/smallpox/ Link to comment
AKM
Small pox has been effectively eliminated, as far as I know, with the only stocks being kept for "experimental" purposes under very tightly controlled conditions. As for chicken pox, I'm under the impression that once you get it, you can't get it again (you're immune). Also, I thought that getting chicken pox as a child increased your likelihood of getting shingles when you're older, not decreased... Link to comment
Something
As Slammer said. Get the hell out of there, Smallpox is a killer. Link to comment

Emily
OMG. But something is wrong here, Emily should asked her parent whether she really had small pox or other type of poxes. if it isn't not a small pox, probably they mistook about some of the common poxes other than chicken & small pox. ..... But it's better to stay away from her and her relative atm. From the lack of replies, I'd say she's either asleep or hauling ass. Emily current time zone is 12 hour difference to NY. Link to comment
gregathit
Only thing chicken pox grants immunity to is shingles. Actually this is exactly the opposite. Having chicken pox as a young person makes you susceptible to getting shingles as an older person (50+). You can get a vaccine to help combat this once you get up there in age. Slammer64
What gregathit said, the chickenpox you had as a kid remains in dormant form until you get older, it then reactivates as a case of shingles. And the only immunity chickenpox grants you is to another case of chickenpox, trust me I had it when I was younger. Link to comment
Emily
Now that's a whole good herpes information you all been provided. Unlike the western - here in Asia diseases are often mixed old wives tales and mythical cure. .... Gosh, those damaged skin textures are so horrible, we're so lucky to live in 21.st century. Those poor people in the ancient time didn't get the same treatment that we're having now. Link to comment

It is VERY rare, but can indeed happen (I personally know someone who had it as a young kid and had it again in college). Mainly it occurs in folks that are immunocompromised, however it has happened to normal folks. But the cases of it occurring are so rare, that common understanding is that folks are "immune". Strelky
Bunch of long posts I didn't feel like reading. So if I'm being redundant sorry, but I've come to understand that small pox exists only in labs today, so the chances you'll get are slim, the real diseases you wanna watch out for are Malaria, West Nile, HIV, Syphillis, Influenza, and Salmonella. Justinof
It can't be small pox, could be measles, rubella or chicken pox. Rubella can be dangerous only if the infected (female) is pregnant, the child may be born whit serious incurable illnesses. Better get rubella as soon as possible, for kids it is a trivial illness.
