Hi

I just downloaded a bunch of new outfit and piercing mods like

zynxes after school outfit and sharkish piercings but when i equip the items after running them on bodyslide batch build nothing changes i had a rather thick character but when i equipped the cuirass it had the zeroed sliders body and sharkish piercing just straight up don't appear another problem i have with c5kevs outfits is that the  outfit has the outlines  of my characters curvy body but the my character has the zeroed sliders  skin meaning the outfit just floats around my characters body  does anyone have any ideas how to fix this

So did you just batch build them without actually checking the preview window? I mean are those outfits even compatible with the preset you're using? As for the case where the outfit took the shape of your character, but there's a "slim" character within the outfit, that to me sounds like someone exported the outfit with a refrence body. Then again, I have very little experience with outfit studio, could be wrong.

If you're sure everything is fine but "nothing changes" still then the first thing to check is file overrides. For instance, if you're using MO2, maybe there's a mod further down overriding stuff. Maybe in the override folder? Also fairly certain there was a bug in some of the more recent BS versions where sometimes it would just pretend to build meshes but not actually do anything. That was fixed in newer versions. Don't quite remember the details on that one.

i tried viewing them with different body types and they morphed accordingly but didnt have textures and i think this problem may have a relation with some stuff needing a 3bbb body but when i turn on bhunp in my mod selection my game crashes in the main menu

As far as I know, no outfit is dependant on a specific body being installed. Bodies and outfits are dependant on skeletons however. Missing textures could be because they're within a BSA/BS2 archive. Not sure if BS reads 3rd party archives.

If the outfits looked ok in the preview window in BS, but were different in-game then: 1) you have something overriding the nifs further down your loadorder, 2) you have an old version of BS since this is a bug I recall has been fixed on multiple occasions over the years or 3) the outfits you downloaded are just bad or otherwise incompatible (LE meshes?).

I have no idea how it works in LE. but for SE, most outfits are body type dependent. That is, if you're using a BHUNP body, you should use BHUNP clothing/armor. If a CBBE body, CBBE clothing armor, a CBBE-3BBB body, CBBE-3BBB armor/clothing, etc.

You can often wear them, but you may see artifacts.

Anecdotal, but In some cases, I've even experienced CTD from trying to use the latest variants of "CBBE-3BA/3BBB" armors on my original CBBE-3BBB player and the same for my original BHUNP ver body  (another player) with the most recent BHUNP armor/clothing

(And yes, they were all fitted and built in Bodyslide)

Best principle is to stick with armor/clothing made for your chosen body type in SE.

when using bodyslide i dont have the option to pick CBBE-3BA or 3BBB body types i thought it came with bhunp is this because i may have an outdated or buggy version of bodyslide or am missing a mod

I was using those as examples only. The idea was: If you use <Body type A ver X>, then you should be installing <Body Type A ver X>  clothing and armor for use with that body.

The default body is afaik vanilla UNP.  (unless they changed that with the 1.6x version)

Most of us then install Bodyslide and the CBBE body. Then we move on to one of the more "advanced" bodies, (like CBBE-3BBB, or the more recent derivative, CBBE-3BA, or BHUNP, at least for females.

My male player, shown in my LL avatar, is stock, ie, UNP. Granted, augmented with SOS and a facial-features softener and a bit of additional work in Racemenu to improve the vanilla face. My two female player vectors are CBBE-3BBB (original) and BHUNP (original)  respectively, both heavily modded in Bodyslide and then in Racemenu. BUt he is UNP, and his clothing and armor are all stock UNP selections.

if you didn't catch my drift from the first sentence above, you also need to pay attention to the version of the body type you've chosen.

CBBE isn't the same as CBBE-advanced (its child)

isn't the same as CBBE-SMP,  (its child)

isn't the same as CBBE-3BBB (v1),  (its child)

isn't the same as CBBE-3BBB/3BA v2,  (its child)

isn't the same as CBBE-3BA (v3),   (its child)

they are progressively more "complex" variants of the original ancestor CBBE

nor are the various incarnations of BHUNP (BHUNP v1, v2, and  v3) the same as each other, or their parents UUNP and futher back to the gg grandparent UNP

the only thing they share in common is their ability to use the same family textures, (UNP family, or CBBE family) and of course a mesh-level  "genetic heritage".

Lord....

NO, I'm not suggesting that you install all the body types. That will get you into a great deal of trouble

One more attempt to get the point across, and then I give up.

If you use a given body type. install clothing and armors that are designed for use with that body type.
