hey there, first of all great mod..im having no issues like some seem to be having , running sl 1.20 and the newest finis beta.

 

what I would like  more info on though is the relationship ranks, I couldn't find any reference to them on the title page.

 

ive noticed they go up occasionaly, just wondering what they do is all and whats the max rank and its benefits :)

Basically, you give them some nice, friendly, consensual nookie, and their disposition towards you will increase.  In terms of Submit, that means that future attempts at seduction will be easier, by a factor of +10% per rank, to a max of +40% at 4.

 

In terms of Skyrim, getting a relationship of 1+ will generally make them use a different greeting, and they won't protest if you are trespassing in their house, and such, but beyond that, I don't think it has any major impact.  I think there may be a mod or two that make vendor prices reflect the rank, sort of like Oblivion, but not so much in default Skyrim.

Some people also refrain from calling the guards if you steal from them, if their relationship is 1 or higher and now and then people give you a present if they like you, nothing big, but sometimes a book, sometimes a healing potion, sometimes a little money. The best about getting presents is actually what they say, when they give it to you like for example Belethor: I have a gift for you, but it doesn't mean we're engaged or something. ;)

After having trouble trying to get animations to work the past few days i sorta got it working with 1.21 beta
even still ill ocasionaly not get animation to play tho i sorta have a work around( hitting esc to bring up system menu and closing it seems to work for w,e reason)

but after deciding to get rid of bandit that submitted rather than drag it to town, i got a ctd, its not the first time its happened but it hasnt been for the same reason
previously it had to do with the sex animations
however this time when i checked the log it came up with this

I'm not sure why that would be an issue, considering that the unequipping code that is used in the Kill() function to make you unarmed for the animation to play should be identical to the code used in the Grapple, Ambush, and the Disarm portion of the Shout.  If you didn't have a CTD during those, then there shouldn't be on with the Kill() option.

 

At any rate, being told to unequip an item that isn't there shouldn't give a CTD, it simply just doesn't do anything.

Hmm weird, cuz i checked log up until that point and everything seemed to be in working fine
that was the only thing that stood out as odd >.>

Hi dktryl, sorry but here I am again. Started a new game without DSR, non consensual works perfect as before but consensual -> CDT when I try to save in the same cell. Right, I can avoid it by changing cell as long as I'm in a town, but what if I'm in the wilderness? Yes, right, fast travel or no sex :dodgy: !

I've been using this mod for a long time and have been having an extremely minor issue concerning bandits added into the game from Organized Bandits in Skyrim. I get an immediate ctd whenever I use the option to take them captive to turn them in for a bounty. This is not game breaking, and it's not something I'm asking you to fix, I just thought I'd let you know about it in case the information would be useful to you later for whatever reason. I'm not a modder, so I don't know exactly what is causing it, probably something to do with how the bandits in OBIS are setup. I think I've had this happen with a couple other custom NPC's as well, but I don't really use the turn in feature very often, so I can't be all that sure it wasn't an OBIS npc.

Now that I've finally addressed my issue as to the post-sex hook and why it wasn't working (Just general ignorance on my part of the functions), I am now working on updating relevant portions of Submit to working with the newer features of the 1.20+ Framework.

 

I am also doing a considerable revamp on the Utility.wait() usage (Due to how many instances I have to update over 50 scripts), which is entirely behind the scenes crap that probably won't be noticed by anyone, but should help with some minor script optimization.

 

Finally, due to the recent issues many seem to be having regarding the post coital bliss hook and making them CTD after saving, an issue that I don't experience at all, I will try to rewrite the function to a more crude version that won't use the While loop, which seems to be the section that is being complained about in the various debug logs people have posted.  Again, I don't have the issue, and I don't know why it thinks the While loop is a problem, but it's a minor enough rewrite that should remove the problem.

 

Given all that, my target update is next weekend, but no promises, as there is a lot of ground to cover between now and then and after several months of this, I don't devote my entire evenings to this anymore. :P

Yes, this is great! Being able to save whenever necessary - a lifesaver in Skyrim! (I'm sure this is nothing I have to tell you, but ... well ... I needed it ...) 

It's funny, everything works perfect, not a problem at all in the combat situations with all the scripts running arround like crazy (SSl, Submit, Wet and cold, RND, Headtracking ...) - and only one small and simple while funktion and bang, CDT.  But Skyrim is Skyrim after all, to question wether this is working in your game and not in mine seems pointless (well, maybe Skyrim doesn't like romance, all you get for being married is one warm meal a day and a simple bonus...)  and I really appreciate all the hard work you and every modder do to make your mods run nevertheless -  again a big

Hi Dkatryl... I'm experimenting a bit with Framework v.1.22... and the jittering is not caused (in my game) by SOS... but is Submit!
Im talking about the consensual option. No matter if I'm using Sos or a nude suit.... the jittering starts. In the same situation it works with matchmaker and even radiant prostitution and it works fine with no jittering. I just can't figure out how It could be possible.... maybe there is something wrong on my end but I wanted you to know.

It didn't happen in 1.21.  It happened in 1.22.  I changed nothing at that time.

 

It happens in the Nonconsensual which uses the StartThread() after manually building out the thread, and it happens in the consensual which uses the StartSex() to automatically build out the thread.

 

Those are vanilla ass Framework functions, I don't see how that could be Submit specific, especially since it didn't happen in 1.21 and only started in 1.22 with absolutely no change on my end.

 

I don't use SOS, nor do I use any creature animation stuff, so I can't comment on any of that.

DK,   If you are ever working on the dialogue portion and run across this...  it would be nice to be able to increase the dialogue handicap for success.   I can fairly easily gain dialogue success right now.  I'd like to be able to tweak it so that I would need a bit of skill in speechcraft in order to have a good chance of winning over someone.  Currently you can boost your bonus, but I don't see a way to boost the difficulty. 

 

I do receive a fairly decent number of fails on regular people, but my companions seem too willing to drop trou at my beck and call.  Although I do know there are probably more important things to work on,  I just thought I would mention it if it is an easy adjustment.  But overall it works GREAT!   Thanks.

The reason companions are so willing is because the game tends to make followers and such be put at rank 3 (Ally), which gives you an inherent +30% bonus with the way the ranks work with the speech stuff.

 

That said, I can easily adjust it so that the scale is -25 - 25% instead of 0-25%.  So you can give yourself a penalty if you want it to be more difficult, but knowing you will still have at least a 10% chance (with the exception of married/courting/on duty guards).

I don't remember the exact name of the faction, but they are added to a faction to show that they were made into a victim.  It's called _SLSubmitVictim or something.  At work so I can't check.

 

Provided that there is a console command to remove a NPC from a faction, it should just be a matter of doing so.

I think what I will do is add in an option to "Make amends" sort of dialog option that will remove the VictimFaction and associated stuff so if the wrong NPC gets tagged by mistake, there will be a way to reset it within the mod without needing to fumble with console commands.  But until I update, that is how you will need to do it.

 

For civilians and such NPCs that are normally non-hostile, that will get you back to able to talk to them properly.

 

For hostile NPCs, it will just return them to their default state, which means hostile. :P

Clean saves shouldn't be required in any version.  Just overwrite the .ESP and .BSM each time and it should be as simple as that.  The only exception are for those that extract the source scripts to personalize and tweak their own copy.  But for the standard user, it should just simply be overwrite.

 

I add no animations, so if animations aren't starting, that sounds like more of an overall Sexlab/FNIS issue.

Explain this to me. In dungeons it works fine but outside, even with only one npc the script seem to stop after they undress my character. They are just standing there like they don't know what to do.

I've been having problems with taking people captive. I thought it was due to custom npc's but I checked my papyrus log and got what I have posted below and am now thinking I might have something affecting the prison clothes somehow. Does anyone here speak papyrus? Could it be a clothing replacer that's crashing me?
