LongDukDong Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 A common gripe I've seen is that of 404 pages within LoversLab. This I understand after seeing so many myself. But why 404 links to pages within LoversLab? The answer is that LL restructured its forum back in early 2014, changing the actual structure of the Topics' URLS from one with a 'showthread' address to an address using a ThreadID-Title combination. During this transition, I fear that a few threads may have vanished. But the mostpart greater portion (99%) remain, though lost if one wishes to hold onto the older URL links. Still, it is possible to find the existing Topics with the assistance of a site known as the Wayback Machine or Internet Archive (your choice... she goes both ways ). When uncovered, you should be able to discover the current thread on your own... with a little elbow grease. Example: * http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=10356 (older dead link) * https://web.archive.org/web/20121022065735/http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=10356 (using Internet Archive... the old 2013 Daedra Sutra post recovered... search begins) * https://www.loverslab.com/topic/8232-the-daedra-sutra-lovers-with-pk-animation-collection/ (And after a search, the page found with a new topic ID) This will be quite handy for anyone wishing to recover content from NEXUS MODS as they too performed some redressing of their forum structure, as well as having 'CLOSED/HIDDEN" some of their content as of recently. The download links will not be available, but the text content will. 1
