Hi so I'm a bit frustrated at this point because I've done everything and checked everything and I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I click on a computer in the sims and the entire TAM explorer option just isn't there.

  • I have all the required mods wicked, basmental, nisa.
  • All script files are not in subfolders and just inside the mods folder
  • I'm not on legacy edition
  • Everything is up to date (my game and all 3 mods)
  • I have no other mods inside of my mods folder except the 3 required

- Just to mention I keep getting a last exception error I don't know how to read that stuff so I have really no idea what's going wrong but I'll try and link the last exception log here

Any help is greatly appreaciated ?

This usually means that the script file isn't read properly by the game.

I'm assuming that both "custom content and mods" and "script mods" are enabled in the game settings, since there is an LE report generated by MCCC.

Now, just to be perfectly clear about this:

The .package files are there with them, right? Because it's never a good idea to keep the files for one mod in different places.

Also, one level of subfolders is perfectly fine for script mods and helps with keeping everything organized. You can safely put e.g. the BMD files into a subfolder like "Mods/BMD".

Finally, the file "lastException_63796226193.txt" you provided states that some custom slider framework failed to initialize because Sims4CommunityLibrary could not be found. MCCC also lists it under installed mods (but there's no S4CL), as well as a whole bunch of .zip and .rar archives (these never go into your Mods folder, unless for some very old script mods that come as a .zip rather than a script file).

This may or may not be related to the issue regarding the Tam Explorer, but it would definitely be a good idea to clean up your Mods folder a bit and make sure that there are no outdated script mods lingering around, as these will only cause trouble and make fixing your main issue harder. And as always, remember to delete "localthumbcache.package", found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4", whenever you make any changes to your mods or the game itself (update, install, delete, repair,...).

Yes, they're both on since wicked whims seems to be working just fine.

At this point in time I have cleared every .zip and .rar files and all broken cc + mods. I'm no longer getting a last exception file but the problem still exists. I've never had a problem with this mod before until now

Yes, they're both on but now I have come to realize that wicked whims seems to be having issues too, when I click on a bed or any object the button doesn't even come up

You said something about the game not reading the scripts, but I have cleared anything that could be causing an issue, is there any other reason why the game wouldn't be reading these?

The files themselves might be broken (due to a download error or something like that) or there could be a source of interference outside of the game and your installed mods (e.g. your antivirus software or a cloud sync service like OneDrive - both of these would explain WW also giving you issues). I have my Mods folder whitelisted ever since my AV decided to automatically delete the WW script file as soon as I extracted it from the downloaded .zip, and One Drive in particular is notorious for blocking the game or a mod from accessing its own files (other services like Dropbox aren't much better).

Personally, I would simply empty the Mods folder (move all the mods somewhere else and only leave the "Resource.cfg" file in there), then check for a game update and/or perform a game repair, re-download those three mods plus MCCC (for error notifications) and put each of them into a subfolder of their own (maybe add one animation package for WW, which does not go into the WW folder), resulting in a minimal setup (remember to delete "localthumbcache.package" and re-enable mods if they were disabled). Just don't save the game while you're troubleshooting and ignore any notifications about missing items from Build mode and CAS.

If the issue still persists, it's likely caused by something that's not related to the game and your mods (see above).

If the issue is gone, you can try again with the files you originally had in your Mods folder (to rule out broken files) or gradually add your other mods and CC back into the game. The fastest way to do this (in my experience) is the 50/50 method (a quick guide can be found here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/finding-broken-4-23751034).
