Yvell Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Hi there, I just installed Skyrim and would like to use mods needing skse , but I'm unable to make it work. I was used to OBSE for Oblivion, but Skse seems to be verry different... I'm running win 10, Skyrim AE (steam version), and try to install skse64_2_01_05: but without success... when I try to use the skse launcher, I always get this error message: "The Windows Store (gamepass) version of Skyrim is not supported." Could someone help me with this?
Yvell Posted July 27, 2022 Author Posted July 27, 2022 Yeah... thanks Liocis, but even if it's the steam version, I can't use the steam support for my skyrim game (I got it elsewere, for free... ^^' )
Just Don't Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 (edited) If it's the Steam version you shouldn't need to do anything special to install it. You shouldn't even get that message to begin with. If it's something else (elsewhere for free??) it's no one's business but you. But note that any version of the game other than a Steam one will have problems (MS store/game pass versions aren't freely modable, cracked games give warnings and some plugins refuse to work entirely) + this is no place to talk or support piracy. Yvell Posted July 29, 2022 Author Posted July 29, 2022 Yes, I know, I usualy buy official licences but when I've seen the price on steam, for an "old" game like skyrim, I was just unable to understant it... This game just survive because of the modder community (like Oblivion), there is very few interest in the vanilla version, and it's the modders who are doing all the work, and I don't think Bethesda or steam are giving anything to the community... Even saying that, I think I'll finish to buy the oficial licence, to be able to play skyrim with as few problems as possible. Btw, thank for your answers, and have a good game!
