Ok long story. I have been trying to install FNIS and I have watched all the tutorials and I have followed all the instructions, but for some reason EVERY time I install from Nexus the generateFNISforusers.exe file is ALWAYS missing! I used wrye bash, and I even installed MO2 but I just dont know why the .exe doesnt install. Im sorry if this was answered but I looked everywhere and no one else seemed to have this problem. Can anyone help a rookie modder?

Verify the installation is completed correctly and done to the proper filepath. I'd check if any anti-virus/malware isn't interfering in the install or removing mod files.

If you say you're using programs like Wrye Bash or MO2 you should check the install is being done according to it's specifications. I'm not sure about Wrye, but for MO2 I guess you already know to install FNIS through it and search for its files in MO2's folder structure and not in your game folders.

It should be in the data folder, not sure if MO has a staging area like Vortex does, but it will be under tools ---> GenerateFNIS_for_Users.

If MO has a staging area, it will be in the data folder for MO

Yes I checked the filepath, there is no .exe under the tools folder. Im actually not sure if windows defender is blocking it because when I checked it didnt say it blocked anything. I dont know if this helps, but when I checked on wrye bash if I look under skipped files when I highlight FNIS it does show that generateFNISforusers.exe was skipped, but I dont have any clue as to how or why.

Manually unzip it and install it in the Tools directory. Just the 2 exes (one probably will never be required by you.)

Use MO or whatever installer you like for all the remaining files

I figured it out guys! So out of desperation I double clicked FNIS.esp in the installer tab on wrye bash and it led to an alternate path for the .exe! I just copied the whole generateFNISforusers folder into the correct place and there it was! All done! Thanks to those who replied!
